Review: Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Skin Care Line (Updated)

Annyeonghaseyo!Β It’s back to regular programming #KoreanFangirl mode. ;-D After trying out the Innisfree Jejubija Mist from my not-so recent Seoul Shopping, I gave the the Jejubija Anti-Trouble Special Kit a try. I happily won a couple of these kits on eBay. Yay! I must say that I’m about ready to jump ship to Innisfree as my go-to skincare brand. I’m thankful that I only have seasonal breakouts, I’ve been very vigilant (that strong word! LoL*) to make sure not to have relapse ever of my worst breakouts ever to date early last year, so every so often I incorporate anti-trouble/acne lines on my skincare regime, it’s love at first try with the Innisfree’s Jejubija Anti-trouble Mist. But I got it from Seoul, and it’s not sold by my fave Korean Cosmetics eBay seller yet, so I gave the special kit at go, and, yes, I’m addicted. ;-D

Innisfree Jejubija Anti-trouble Mist, Foam, Toner, Lotion, Spot Essence W and R. Β My Mist is almost done. I finished the first bottle of 15ml toner, and the lotion is almost done too. I bought extra Spot Essence W too just to be really vigilantΒ on preventive mode. ;-D
Innsifree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Mist Product Description:Β Formulated with jejubija fruit oil, this mist for troubled skin which offers a 3-in-1 effect instantly soothes skin trouble, prevents dust from attaching to the skin and provides moisture.

Recommended Usage:Β Whenever your skin feels dry, spray onto face with your eyes closed and gently pat to finish. It can be applied before and after makeup. Shake well before use.

It’s high time I do a review of the mist, I’m almost about to finish it. I bought it for 9000KRW (about Php 330/ $7.5) for an 80ml. It comes in an atomizer bottle. Unlike an aerosol which creates really fine mists, when sprayed, the mists of Innisfree’s can beΒ sizable, so it tend to drips. The formula is also really watery. So I spray it with an appropriate distance, pat dry my eyes with cotton pads just in case, but patiently air/fan dry the whole formula. Before I had the full line of the Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble, I spritz on the mist after using my toner, before applying moisturizers (essence, emulsion, creams), to better seal it the supposed goodness. Theatrics aside, I actually had almost zero breakout episodes especially on my forehead. But I had to prolong its life, so I gave the special kit, for bidding on eBay a try. And yes, they didn’t disappoint. ;-D

Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Special Kit includes a Facial Foam, Toner, Lotion, Β Spot Essence W and R
Innsifree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Facial Foam:Β The refined and foamy lather thoroughly removes pore impurities as it prevents and relieves skin trouble.
Innsifree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Toner: Natural salicylic acid, natural alcohol presents you with a clear complexion as it exfoliates dead skin cells that cause skin trouble and removes impurities left inside pores.
Innsifree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Lotion:Β This watery moisturizing lotion helps to clear and treat troubled skin with its outstanding healing power of Jeju torreya seed oil and natural salicylic acid.
Swatch. InnisfreeΒ Jejubija Anti-Trouble Spot Essence W (Whitish Creamy formula):Β This spot essence helps to treat and soothe bumpy, troubled skin presenting you with a smooth skin surface with its outstanding peeling effects of Jeju torreya seed oil and natural salicylic acid.
InnisfreeΒ Jejubija Anti-Trouble Spot Essence R:Β This spot essence rapidly calms down sudden apparent breakouts with its Jeju torreya seed oil and green calamine ingredients.

The Spot Essence W can be used like a cream, it can be applied morning, and evening right after the lotion to the affected area. The Spot Essence R is a green, thick, sticky formula, obviously it’s for nigh time use. It’s a bit hard to remove too, I have to use cleansing wipes to remove. My facial wash won’t do the trick in removing the Spot Essence R.

Before: Friday Photo. After: Sunday Photo. As some of you may know, I had quite a stressful May month, Β that included lack of sleep, Β so I barely had time to follow my detailed and meticulous night skin care routine, so I skipped on some products, failing to incorporate any Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble products, and my, I had breakouts, of course that’s not discounting the major stress and sadness last time. Coincidentally, Β I made a quick trip to the salon for eyebrow threading, which I’ve been skipping since I went for a trip to Benefit’s Brow Bar instead. Threading can open the pores big time, so hello pimples.Β

I was tempted to resort to Adapalene Differin, but I went on to just incorporate all Innisfree Jejubija Anti-trouble products at my disposal, except for the foaming cleanser (I haven’t use this since I’m still okay with my current facial cleansers). The toner can be a bit watery too, but I still prefer to directly apply it with my palm instead of using a cotton pad. I’m thinking of transferring it to a small atomizer bottle just to extend its life and usage. I lavishly applied the Spot Essence R as finishing step, my T-Zone areas were oozing with green formula (#GreenEyedMonster in the house LoL*). I controlled the urge to pop that big zit, left it alone, and few days after, I look better enough to wave to Howie of BackStreet Boys haha. ;-D

Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Spot Patch:Β This film-type spot patch helps to rapidly soothe irritated, troubled skin with its outstanding healing power of Jeju torreya seed oil and natural salicylic acid.

Oh, I have to tell you that prior to trying the skincare line, I also used the Spot Patch, I got a pack with 10 patches for 2500KRW, since I’m super vainΒ OC, I quickly finished it.

Baviphat AC Therapy SOS Spot Patch vs. Innisfree’s Spot Patch. I was out of Innisfree’s so I used the Baviphat’s product along with it. I guess they worked similarly the same, although I can’t tell for sure with big zits, since I didn’t have any that time, but they tend to dry and to lighten the area. I just prefer the Innisfree’s better because it’s transparent, so I can eagerly, without my curiosity getting the best of me, leave it as long as the patch holds. ;-D

The Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble Spot Patch Pack is not yet sold by my fave eBay seller, for the mean time, I hoard the Special Skin Set like crazy, I bid, and bid! Haha ;-D I think I’m only missing the recovery gel to complete the products in the Innisfree Jejubija Anti-Trouble line. Soon.

Overall, I’m slowly but surely incorporating some of the Innisfree skin care samples that I have, but with Innisfree’s supply here a bit unreliable (Innisfree Korea, please come to the Philippines! ^_^) I’m still not letting go to my main skin care lines from SkinFood namely the Gold Caviar Toner, Collagen Serum, and Collagen Cream, and the SkinFood Platinum Grape Cell Toner and Essence. What I do is layer the Anti-trouble skincare products. I have yet to do a post on my complete skincare routine, soon. ;-D For the mean time, I highly encouraged you to try some availableΒ Lee Min Ho’s Innisfree from local eBay sellers. Cheers! ;-D

  2. This blog post is years ago but it totally made up my mind to buy this Innisfree line. I have been breaking out from bumps and random pimples that come and go then leave scars 😦 I don't know if it's stress from school or me turning 26 (Hormonal?) but I feel so upset covering it with concealers. So thank you for the extensive blog post πŸ™‚
