Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Finds | #ChicSassyMomFinds

Ciao bella! πŸ€—

You ought to know that I'm crazy addicted to Bath and Body Works (read here, here and here too).🀷🏻‍♀️I reckon, one can never have enough, so although I was seriously trying to stay away from the semi-annual sale, I was almost out of candles...so on my way to the store, I kept reminding myself...I just needed candles. πŸ˜…

Candles for $10, plus $10 off for every $40 purchase
Champagne Toast is our favorite scent be it for candles, soaps and sanitizers. It wasn't part of the promotion but I fell in love with the Beach Sage and Mint and Salted Ocean Air. The Ciao Bella is on the sweet side, just for added variety every so often.

There were soooooh many daily offers, as in. Choose wisely. Wants vs. Needs.πŸ˜‰ I needed hand soaps.

Champagne Toast and White Tea & Sage are scents, which are both well-liked by my very picky hubby and son, plus they have essential oils and me likey a lot of essential oils πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
Living here in California, I thought I'll get over this phase of hoarding Bath and Body Works πŸ˜…,  but apparently....not! With it, the urge always win. 🀫Oh well! ✌🏻

Favorite TWG Tea 🍡| #ChicSassyMomFinds

TWG Tea, oh how I love thee! If asked, how do I take my tea? I take it very seriously, like crazy. TWG is my favorite tea brand. Look them up here. So when in Singapore, be sure to grab some in the airport. Thankfully, we have them in Manila too with the loveliest tea place to boot. I just realized I never posted about it. Hmmmm. Now, I'm missing Manila. I have friends visiting from home, I requested for some for pasalubong (now I'm adding that my growing list πŸ˜‰). Yay! Oh happy day! Thank you!

Updated Korean Skincare Routine 🌼🐌| #ChicSassyMomFinds

Annyeong, cinggu! πŸ€—

I'm a skincare addict! πŸ™‹πŸ»It has been a while since I updated my skincare routine. It's still as elaborate as ever, 9-10 steps, forever inspired with Korean multi-step Skincare routine.  It's mostly mixing and matching of the mainstay brands and the new ones. Except lately, I've been trying out stuff here and there, thanks to my subscription of ipsy and allure, check them out at IG @chicsassymomfinds. Some are hits, some are misses. Plus, I have super sensitive skin, so it's not really a good idea. Oh well. So for whatever reason, I had breakouts, so I have to revisit my skincare routine. So here goes the old new routine...

I'm back to using Avene Thermal Spring Water, Kiehl's Calendula and Aloe Extract Toner (not Korean brand, but it's endorsed by Superjunior's Choi Siwon ✌🏻), Mizon Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule (from Amazon), Kiehl's Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream,  Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream, and my Skederm Snail Jelly Mask

Unboxing Tory Burch Boots πŸ‘’ | #ChicSassyMomFinds

Awwww my dear friends, is it fall/winter season yet?

I have always been in love with boots (read here, here, and here too), so I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be...San Francisco Bay Area. To quote Mark Twain, "the coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco." But truly, paractically, the best time to buy boots is during summer for the off-season sale. So here goes...

The coveted dust bag, which you only get when you buy in store and online shop (not outlet).
Yeehaw!!! Tory Burch Brooke Slouchy Boot with extra 25% off, Final Sale Price is $178.
Per my experience with boots, you need to get 1 size bigger if you want for regular socks and to layer with jeans, 1.5 size bigger if you will use winter socks for added warmth. I plan to use this for working over leggings, or stockings, so I only got a size bigger.
#Shoefie
Winter is not yet coming. But I can't wait for fall. Cheers! ✌🏻

Starbucks 1912 Pike Place Seattle | #ChicSassyMomFinds

I'm a happy fangirl πŸ’ƒπŸ₯°...because I’m a Starbucks ☕️🍡 addict to the bone, I'm ecstatic to make it to where it all began... the first Starbucks.

of Siren, mermaid and princess...Original Starbucks Logo
That Starbucks iconic sign

I couldn't agree more. Starbucks is a place where we can all come together over a cup of coffee.
I was here at the first Starbucks!
It was a loooong roadtrip from Fremont to Seattle. We were literally sleepless in Seattle (yay! so the opportune time finally came for me to use #SleeplessinSeattle πŸ˜…), but we got a City Pass and we're committed to make the trip worth it, no time to lose. Last stop before dinner was the original Starbucks in Pike Place Market. There was a long line. Be prepared to do that. If you're a fan, it's worth the pilgrimage trip. I promise.

Onward with ❤️,

New Hair Highlights | #ChicSassyMomFinds

Annyeong, cinggu! πŸ€—Oh my, so I was seriously MIA, not only with real life drama, but mostly just because I feel like Instagram killed blogging. And I'm so sad, because I'm so bad at it (but I try as @chicsassymom). I thought with blogging, if I work diligently, I feel like I'm actually good at it. Plus I do love to write... a lot. So I'm back here in my happy space, so please prove me wrong, leave me a comment below.

Anyhow, so they say that one’s mood depends on how the hair looks πŸ’πŸΌ‍♀️...for me? Sometimes. Because more often than not, my hair depends on my #fangirl mood. And it was on all time high last time because of ...πŸ˜‰πŸ€«So bring on the highlights! ❤️πŸ™†πŸΌ‍♀️

Pasalubong Ideas from the Philippines | #ChicSassyMomXUSA

Mabuhay! πŸ€—Absence makes the heart grown fonder πŸ₯Ί... I miss goodies from the Philippines, (food and non-food) products, and just all those simple, random stuff that we get to ignore enjoy back home. So whenever there's a chance, I throw in my pasalubong request list. πŸ˜…Take note, I've very mindful on who I send out the list and just how much I put in the list for the fear of incurring fury. Excess baggage is real, people. ✌🏻

Chic & Sassy Mom Tips: If family are from the Philippines and are just visiting, if they sincerely offer, it might be okay to request for some kind of pasalubong (stuff they will get for you as a token of endearment being an integral part of our culture) or padala (stuff from your family/friends that will be coursed through them for you) or pabili (stuff they will need to buy for you, please make sure to send money beforehand)Just please be very mindful of just how much spare baggage space do they have and they can actually carry. Traveling with children provides them extra baggage space, but how on earth can they carry all those balikbayan boxes and luggages. For family and friends from the USA visiting to the Philippines, they too probably want to hoard goodies from the Philippines, so unless otherwise sincerely offered if you want anything, please do try to avoid. The same goes for sending stuff back to the USA from the Philippines via padala. Reminder to me. 🀫Key word. Sincerely offer. Hah. When you send/request for padala, make sure that the packaging is not sealed. You have to make sure that they know what they will be transporting on your behalf. Put them in clear Ziploc. Or just give them flexibility on how they can squish in the stuff here and there.

Anyhow, here's what we requested from family and friends who sincerely (hah) offered to get us pasalubong. πŸ˜…

Updated: June 27, 2019

Updating with more pictures because we got more. I love. Thank you.

Pasalubong from my sister's May US visit: Bread Pan, Oishi Salted Egg Flavor Chips, Yakisoba, Turrones de Casoy, Pancit Canton, Crab Paste, etc. Disclaimer: She's my sister and they're party of four and travelling business class, so they have baggage spaces to spare. ✌🏻

#MissingPhilippines Real Life Drama | #ChicSassyMomxUSA

Annyeong! πŸ€—Hope you all had a great Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. Shocks! MIA for the nth time. I'm still here. A lot of dramas (real and reel), and I'm beyond overwhelmed. But oh well, life happens. I'm frustrated that I wish I was more diligent in blogging. Instagram (and Twitter and Facebook) is never my cup of tea where one photo can make or brake you πŸ˜”, so I have nowhere to go but here. So let's see where this post leads me...

Happiness is an empty laundry basket. πŸ™‹πŸ»‍♀️
You'll know that we're currently chasing our California dreams, yes dear friends, still chasing, not yet living. But somehow, these dreams are too awesome not to chase (according to someone... ahem!), so I gave up fan meeting (hahaha), Seoul searchingsalon trips, and just basically embraced being help-less. πŸ˜…And my, for the record, I have to just say it out loud, my greatest fear living here in the US is going to a dentist, and incurring thousands of dollars bills for dental works. πŸ₯΄(I have never ever really fully recovered ending my career in Colgate Palmolive, where the best perk is free dental works.)  I might sound capricious for missing such wants, but I won't go overly dramatic, soapy and weepy by talking about how I terribly miss my family, and I'll just go all out nega on you. We don't want that. My real life oppa will not like that. Hah. So the takeaway I want you to all have from reading this random post is that life in the Philippines is still beyond amazing. Just because, when you're home, you can get by (with your needs and yes, even wants) with a little help from your family and friends. Let me count the ways... (on my next post). I miss you, Manila! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡
