#FangirlMode | Black Knight Ep 1 and 2 Ravings

Annyeong, cinggu! 🤗

This week was very exciting for an ardent Korean drama fangirl like yours truly. Two dramas premiered. I was so looking forward to them because after While You Were Sleeping ended, drama life is so, so.  I did not warm up to the recent dramas except for Hospital Ship, which made me see Kang Min Hyuk in a whole new lovable, oppa-ble light, haha. Then there's also The Package with Jung Yong Hwa, I love the first 7 episodes and Paris is love...can't wait to be back. Yay! CNBlue budding fan here. For the past weeks and so, I have just been re-watching Lee Joon Gi, Lee Min Ho and Kim Soo Hyun's drama. Only Lee Joon Gi is out, so my fangirling soirees and options are pretty much limited. Ottoke!? Thank goodness for Black Knight. *Some spoiler ahead.

Kim Rae Won and Shin Se Kyung in Black Knight.
Kim Rae Won is divine. Forever a fangirl. I'm so happy to see him after Doctors. And yes, I love Shin Se Kyung despite the haters. I've seen most of her drama, well, I even like her in Bride of the Water God. I like her and Nam Joo Hyuk and the drama, regardless. Weirdly, I was compelled to watch Bride of Habaek the entirety of its run than say the Goblin, which I only watched (and yes eventually love) after months it finished airing. So yes, to each his own. So having said that, Black Knight is a big deal for me, a very timely Christmas present to cheer my ardent fangirl addiction heart.

*LeSigh *Swoon Black Knight is love, love, love! Thank you drama gods, Oppa Kim Rae Won is divine! Plus he's about my age, hahaha. Oh all the possibilities...hahaha
Shin Se Kyung is so pretty. And I need that cashmere coat too, juseyo.
Without all the mystery shrouding their characters, Kim Rae Won is her black knight because she requested that he take her drink in her behalf. It's the usual drama scene where the oppa, guy, Candy boy, will offer to take the drink in her stead. Episode 1 and 2 will just reveal that.

Kim Rae Won will never disappoint in my heart. So he can do no wrong. I love him so, period. While Shin Se Kyung's character, while seemingly your classic Candy in the workplace, it's unique to see a different take on her dealing with her rich friends, faux Prosecutor boyfriend, and even her aunt. She's definitely no pushover. It's a refreshing change.

I can't wait for the drama to unravel beautifully in the coming episodes. So far, it seems that except for Sharon (Seo Ji Hye's character) and Chang Mi Hee seems immortal. Because I was surprised that there is a childhood back story of the main couple in the present time, not Joseon. I was initially at the assumption that he has been the same as both Sharon not through reincarnation, possibly. Hmmm, I'm not actually warming up into the childhood backstory, it must be that I'm not as invested to their childhood actor and actress counterparts. Unlike, say if they were Nam Da-Reum, he takes the place of Yeo Jin-goo as the ultimate child actor counterpart, and some other child actress to the level of Kim So Hyun and Kim Yoo Jung. So it's best that their historical backstory delivers and seals the deal to be the key to the everlasting love they share and for him just to merit being her Black Knight in Shining Armor.

Sharon played by Seo Ji Hye is a pleasant worthy opponent to Shin Se Kyung. Haha. In fact, because I told you I run out of drama marathons to run, I'm now doing Once Upon a Time, her deal with Shin Se Kyung eerily reminds of all the fairy tale leads deal with Rumpelstiltskin, which can all backfire. Such a fierce second lead.

Awwww...Slovenia, we meet....oh how I love thee.

Predjama Castle in Slovenia
Bled Castle, perhaps 🤔
Black Knight is like the making of a hit drama with a dreamy One True Pair (OTP) and with all the right ingredients seamlessly blending for that another nice epic drama that will forever steal my heart. So drama gods, let's do this. Aja! Aja! Fighting! Cheers! 🍷

First Sip and dip: Bulletproof Coffee + Keto | #DietForever

TGIF! 🤗 It's only a matter of time (and there's no time like the present) that I will also try Keto diet, oh well, I'm on diet forever, anyhow. But first, coffee.

Bulletproof coffee is divine. 😋☕️
I mostly did it all, name it, (1200-calorie diet, meal subscription, juicing, slimming pills, coffee and tea), except for exercising. Ha. 🤷🏻‍♀️

For background, I'm between 145-130 lbs, dream weight is 125 lbs. I never achieved that. The closest was 128 lbs, which took me year to do, not because of a "diet", but because I had medical emergency, which required me and compelled me to diligently follow the rules. It's basically no pork, no beef, no potato chips, no popcorn, no nuts, and no chocolate. It's basically low-residue diet. I guess after our 2016 December USA Trip, and the trips after (Korea, Singapore, and back to USA), I gave up, and just eat to my heart's content. Plus, we have no weighing scale here 😉 not until last Saturday when I bravely agreed to buy one, because I was already doing partial Keto diet. It's partial because, I was cheating, we had two special date nights, so yes. Partial. Haha. But I started Monday with some dedication to just do Keto diet with an ardent fangirl heart.

Ketogenic (aka Keto) diet is basically a very, very low carb, low sugar, low protein diet and high fat diet. With these, the body goes into a metabolic state of ketosis, which makes turns our body into a fat burning machine. I like! I tried Scarsdale diet, which works, but very limiting and then there's that headache, which I can't deal with. You're anxious, grumpy, and just floating. So noooh!!! Then I came across bulletproof coffee to jumpstart your keto diet. Better late than sorry.

What's in my bulletproof coffee. When you google it, there's actually a bulletproof coffee brand. Just think Colgate, for all toothpaste. Valentus SlimRoast Coffee from Amazon, Kerrygold Butter from Costco (it's that recommended butter from grass-fed cows), coconut oil (bought it in Marshalls but there's also one in Trader Joe's), and Stevia for sweetener.
Take note, I was already on Valentus Slimroast coffee since a long time ago, on and off. But I don't shed pounds, it works just by keeping my weight in place considering all the feasting and buffets I was having then and now. Quickly, I like Valentus than Javita. It tastes and smells better, plus no headache. I'm using the same Oster My Blend that I use for fruit shakes. With 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp Coconut Oil, quickly blend everything together, and voila! Bulletproof coffee that smells so good and so frothy. Yum! I love coconut chocolates mixture so the flavor really works for me. That's my breakfast for over two weeks now. Again, the first week doesn't count. But this week does. Truly, if I'm busy or so engage in a Korean drama marathon, it can last me until 3pm with only water and tea keeping me company. No headache. No floating. So far, going on Keto diet seems workable (will work on a separate post). My only drama here is giving up on desserts, chocolates, and cakes (but there are options 😉). So far, so good. Let's do this! Aja! Aja! Fighting! Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomFinds | Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes Makeup Remover

Hello, Decemberrrr! I'm late (but better late than sorry). 🤗

Yay! It has been a while since I did a full product review, you know that post with "the works" with before and after pic. Hah. But I'm inspired, so yes, let's do this.

My everyday makeup, Korean inspired of course 😉, is easy peasy with just the eyeliner as must-always-have. I was out of contact lenses for a while, so I missed out on mascara. Plus, because Kanebo Kate eyeliners were really waterproof and lasting, it takes a while to remove them. So far, I have not been successful in finding a good eye-makeup remover here. But now, I'm back to contacts (Hello, Tom Ford shades!😎), so bring on the mascara for more drama (I can't wear fake lashes everyday). So a good reliable makeup remover is in order.

Who doesn't adore Costco, right? So while we're at it, I thought I'll hoard try and get their Kirkland Signature Daily Facial Towelletes. (Good buy indeed, well, I'll be with it for a long time since it comes with a 4x 30ct and 2x15pc pack, total of 150 pre-moistened towelettes for $11.99++.)

Official Product Description: Daily Facial Cleansing Towelettes are the simplest, softest cleansing solution. Pamper yourself with an effective and complete skincare solution that offers a deep clean and does not irritate your skin. Our ultra-mild formula with cucumber, chamomile flower extract, and aloe removes all traces of makeup, oil and dirt-leaving your skin glowing and refreshed. No rinsing is necessary.
Ultra-mild. Gentle-enough to use around the eyes. Deep clean. Skin that's glowing. I'm sold.

Fist photo with makeup up. Second and third photos, after cleansing with the towelette (aptly called because it's strong, extra large than regular wipes, and oh so soft, plus I like the scent too). When I used it, I still have my contacts on, sometimes, if I'm not too gentle, I tend to sting my eyes. But so far, so good, no sting. And no smudges left. Goodbye, Panda eyes!
Tadaa! Truly, it's effortless and there were no smudges. It doesn't really call out waterproof makeup removing powers, but then I assumed since it says it "removes all traces", then it's a given that eye makeup (eyeliner + mascara) can only be waterproof. Rightly so, it doesn't disappoint.  Loving it so far.
But wait, there's more.
Swatches of my everyday makeup. Kanebo Kate Pencil Eye liner | Chanel Le Crayon Yeux Eye Definer | Kanebo Kate Liquid Liner (Super Favorite) | KPalette Brow Mascara | Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Mascara  |  LipSense | Kylie Kristen
Second photo is first swipe. The Chanel is easy peasy to remove. Second swipe, most eye makeup were gone except for the Kanebo Kate Pencil Eye liner (waterproof and lasting indeed), third and fourth photos are after several swipes (10+++) already with some effort and pressure. Lipsense and Kylie lipsticks are truly lasting, so let me use the LipSense Oops! remover.

So far, it does remove, but not entirely. I had to use the Kirland Facial Towelette to reinforce. From experience, an oily or buttery meal will do a better trick of removing LipSense and Kylie. Haha.
I do have a sensitive skin. Breakouts here and then too. So just for the sake of really testing the product, I did leave it on overnight, without my skincare goodies (oh my!) just to know if it will work by itself (on those days and nights that I can't bring the whole skincare gang, like that last time we went camping). Yay! I survived! No breakouts. Skin feels and looks okay even on a verrry cold morning. I'm saved! I might just be able to travel light when the occasion calls for it. Bring on more eye makeup drama! Cheers! 🍷
