Favorite Beauty and Shopping Finds for July 2018| #ChicSassyMomFinds

Annyeong, cinggu! ๐Ÿค— Hope you're having a great weekend! Here's a belated post for my favorite shopping finds for July (on top of my still-favorite shopping soiree from last time).

1.  More Jo Malone. One can never have enough. ๐ŸคซThere was an amazing 4th of July promotion, I bought these just because I like how they look. I'm liking the Tropical Cherimoya better. The Red Roses is a miss for me. It's too rosy. But it works better when I layer it with other scents. So I'm still keeping it.

Jo Malone, oh how I love thee! ❤️
2.  More Shiseido. I'm a skincare addict, the Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is a mainstay product that I incorporate on my elaborate skincare routine (oh, let me update my skincare routine, will save another post). Recently, Ultimune has a new formula that includes a reishi mushroom and iris root extracts for better, improved performance.

3. Pim Saen Balm Oil for world peace. ✌๐Ÿป I love essential oils and almost everything minty. Spa-ish, uplifting, and comforting. I tried this from my sister. She got it in Thailand. And yassss, it's available at Amazon Prime. It takes a while for it to arrive, maybe a month or so. So now, I'm timing my repurchase.

I've been busy stressing needlessly so I just plainly devoted myself to consoling myself by watching Korean and Chinese dramas (follow me @noonades on Instagram for my current favorite dramas and oppas ✌๐Ÿป), so I don't think I have much to rave about for August next. But will see. ๐ŸคซStay beautiful, fabulous, and in love, my dear cinggus! Cheers! ✨

A Day at Harry Potter World at Universal Studios Hollywood | #ChicSassyMomTravels *PixHeavy

We spent a Friday in Universal Studios just to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Last time we visited was a long time ago, so no Hogwarts yet, and son was still a little boy so he was not able to ride big boys' rides. I've always wanted to go back because I'm a big Harry Potter fan. We missed visiting Universal Studios the last time we were in Japan. Timely, that we have a day to spare in Los Angeles to come by and visit the park again. It was short but oh so scorching hot sweet.

We planned for an early start. We made sure that the first thing to do is to see The Harry Potter World.

๐Ÿ’‰Stressing over my PPD Test | #ChicSassyMomxUSA

I'm such a worrywart. ๐Ÿ™ŠSo sorry, my goodness, I've been losing sleep over the PPD Test for a pre-employment requirement here in California. It's the same story last time when I moved to another company back in Manila though that time it was because of my blood pressure, which went unusually berserk. Weird, it seems I'm scared of electronic blood pressure monitor. ๐Ÿ˜… It was all in vain anyhow. Here in California, the pre-employment medical exam coverage required by the company I'll be joining (yassss, I made it!) is not as extensive as we had back in Manila, and that's great news because this time I've been told it will be for my personal account. I'm asked for a medical clearance/fit-to-work advise and PPD Test or Chest X-ray. In Manila, I don't ever remember getting a PPD Test, though I've been told, I had one done a loooong time ago just because I don't have the usual BCG vaccine scar. What we normally get in the Philippines, both for the pre-employment medical and the annual physical exam is the Chest X-ray. When I mentioned it to the doctor here, she made sure to ask was it because I tested positive, but it's most definitely not! I guess it's easier back home to just go right away to the X-Ray...hello, radiation! Plus, the BCG vaccine, which is given to everyone in the Philippines at birth, risks giving false positive results albeit given after x no. of years already, though it is still depends on several other factors. Knowing that, I'm all the more worrying needlessly. I swear, I'm sooo bad, I kept on checking it every so often, literally losing sleep over it until the D-Day.

Well, let's call it a PPD Test time lapse. ๐Ÿ™ˆ There was basically nothing before the 24-hr mark. It's just that tiny red dot. Then last night, maybe on it's 36-hr mark, I noticed a small circle growing, which from research is erythema. I was so scared. ๐Ÿ™‰
Can't 2:15 pm come any sooner?!

Hummel Figurines ✨| #ChicSassyMomFinds #VintageSoul

TGIF. ✨

On my growing list of happiest places on earth is a visit to an antique shop. I'm lucky to have Niles so near to us...antique shops to my heart's delight. I'm such a pack rat. I can be sooo into stuff...newest apple of my eyes are Hummel figurines.

Rekindling my vintage soul with Hummel ✨| Vintage Tea Set | Hummel Goose Girl
The Hummel Heavenly Angel got me. I thought I wouldn't mind collecting just the angels first, but it seems this is quite challenging as they're rarely available. So we just started getting whatever we can given the spending threshold we allowed ourselves. Hah.

Oh how I love thee.  Here's one store's available inventory of Hummel Figurines. Oh my Hummel, there are just so many of you.  What to do?!
With our research and with the book, I've discovered the vast and endearing history behind the figurines. They're not just your chubby cheeks, large doe-eyes, cute and angelic work of art, but there's also so much heartwarming backstory why Franciscan Sister Berta Hummel came up with these beautiful sketches until her death and W. Goebel Company produced them in ceramic figurines. We're forever charmed.

Slowly but surely, building our M.I. Hummel Figurines by Goebel Collection. We're starting with a smaller display cabinet, and so far, it's full. ๐Ÿ˜‰
With the book, we can name all of the Hummel Figurines we have. To name a few, we have the Apple Tree Boy, The Heavenly Angel, and Signs of Spring. Oh my, there's so much more. But so far, we're good...for now. Hah. ๐Ÿ˜…

There's so much love in collecting. There's the thrill and the commitment on the search and the memories that come with it that make collecting antiques (or any collectibles) so precious.  I know it by heart. I'm such a die-hard fangirl and I hopelessly devote myself to a cause that I find worth addicting pursuing (type Korean Drama, Seoul, Innisfree in my search box). ๐Ÿ˜‰Let's do this. Cheers! ✌๐Ÿป

Bake Cheese Tart to Line For ๐Ÿฅง | #ChicSassyMomEats #WheninSanFrancisco

If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to buy cheese tart on your way home.

I love San Francisco. I look forward to my SF work days. I usually take the Powell Station (best malls ever ๐Ÿ˜‰), everywhere else is just an Uber ride away. One fine San Francisco day, on my way to the BART Station, I saw a long line. Curious. Oh my, freshly baked cheese tart!

Cheese tart is always a good idea. ๐Ÿ˜‹
I had the fondest memory of eating cheese tart in Japan...oh how I miss Japan. I chanced upon Pablo Cheese Tart last time because there was also a long line for it just outside of the subway station. Tale as old as time, I can be naturally inquisitive ๐Ÿ™Š, so I ended up queuing just the same. Best decision.

Best view. I'm getting nearer the counter. It's my turn soon, finally. Hmmmm, so will I get Strawberry Cheese Tart or Original?
People are just naturally curious, just like me. So the line keeps getting longer. It's endearing how the regular buyers talk of the tarts fondly, soooo now I was more compelled to just keep staying in line.

Bake Cheese Tart are truly to BART line for. ๐Ÿ˜‹I bought a box of 6 for $20+, usually it's $3.5+ a piece.
Apparently there are seasonal flavors, and I was lucky that the Strawberry cheese tart was not yet sold out. I'm not really a strawberry person so I opted to go for the original, but I was still able to buy one, I ate it right away before I took the BART home. It's as nice, I should have gotten more Strawberry for my boys. Next time.

Oishi! They're super good...perfect cream cheese frosting with a nice, sweet and crispy tart crust to boot that you cannot go without. Forget no carbs diet. Hah.

I'm such a fan of everything Japanese (and Korean) and I devour cheese, so these are really delightful treats. And these did not disappoint. JaFun. These are truly must-try, worth the BART-ride and the long line. Plus, there are many other things to buy do in the Westfield San Francisco Centre anyhow ๐Ÿ˜‰, so there you go, definitely worth the trip. And if you must know these are Japanese Bake Cheese Tarts from Hokkaido and are already going places in Asia except for USA, just because this branch in San Francisco is the one and only branch in the whole USA. Awesome. Eat more cheese tarts. Cheese! ✌๐Ÿป

When in Fremont, Visit Niles | #ChicSassyMomxUSA *Pix Heavy

Oh my, Fremont... I love it here. It's near everything...San Francisco, Palo Alto, Facebook HQ, and most outlet stores. Though at the onset, there's no tourist spot that makes for a purposive trip to Fremont, except maybe for the food choices known for being diverse and gastronomically delightful, and when you love antiques. It's just not one antique shop, it's a whole street of picturesque boutiques ...Niles, California. It's historic, charming, and beautiful.

Niles Essanay is home to the silent films of Charlie Chaplin, Gloria Swanson and the first cowboy movie star, Bronco Billy. It keeps the spirit of silent films alive and is a resource for all facets of silent filmmaking.
Awww...Stroll down memory lane with the picturesque antique shops, ice cream shops (there's a lot of ice cream here, and I love the Ube (taro) ice cream and Tyme for Tea

Now, for the best part, antique shops overload. Look!

Interview Question: What keeps you going?

TGIF. Tale as old as time, when something is amiss, I turn to blogging to channel out all these pent up dramatics (real and drama ๐Ÿ˜…). By the way, we are currently in California, not for vacation, but will be here for a little while. Having said that, it means restarting our lives here... no yaya (house help), no driver, just us, sooo grateful for the boys (hubby and Chaseyboy). ๐Ÿ‘Š๐ŸผImagine that?!  It's not easy. ๐Ÿ™‰Props to everyone. I'm not capricious or feeling privilege, it's just how it is back home, we're used to getting help either from the family or paid help. When you're a working mom, it's a crisis (and everybody feels for you) when you are help-less. Hah. So contrary to when we were just visiting, you don't get a lot of me-time. Unless, you're like me, I get it at the expense of missing out on sleep and risk piling up of laundry. Bad. Hmmm, some would say, you don't shop here as much, but oh well, I do love to shop, old habit never dies. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป‍♀️That's a consolation. Haha

Anyhow, so technically, even our careers, we're restarting. Reset. With my age, I've been meaning to invest on retirement and build lasting relationship with a company and colleagues, which I consider as friends. I've been running around, trying to climb the corporate ladder that I've been moving from one company to another, looking for THE One. I though I found it last time, until we made this one big leap of faith to move to California. So now, I'm back to square 1, and going on interviews is a way of life. Oh well. It's easy to talk about what I have been doing over the past years. It's this Ms. Universe question that makes me wish I had my responsible share of breakfast and lunch, just because I'm always on diet ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป‍♀️, and so I can ace it. Hahaha But I do my best, sincerely, thoughtfully I answer...

So what keeps me going?  It's foremost for my family, here and back home. Then it's just really being grateful for being gifted with a good education (love you, Mama and Papa), and that everyone has God-given talents and skills, that I should be honing, and sharing to the community. There's no rest for the weary. Lastly, it's that self-serving, trivial reason of having means and ways to fund my fangirling and shopping soirees. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป‍♀️I sincerely believe that life is beautiful and God has a plan for me, in His time. I need to persevere to the daily grind regardless of how sometimes I get disappointed big time, lose my focus, and worry endlessly. It is what it is. Thank goodness for Asian and KDramas! ๐Ÿ˜‰Aja! Aja! Fighting! Jiฤyรณu!✌๐Ÿป

#FangirlModeOn | Meteor Garden 2018 ๐Ÿ’ซ

Nว hวŽo! ❤️Oh my, the Meteor Garden F4 fever is soooo back! Oh baby, baby, baby, my baby, baby.... Watching the new MG brings back fondest memories and giddiness of the original, mega hit Meteor Garden and Boys Over Flowers (BOF). You ought to know that I'm a die hard fangirl of BOF (type Lee Min Ho and Seoul on my search box). Omo, ๐Ÿ™Š I'm super thrilled that the new F4 are as lovable.

Flower Four #F4
The new Meteor Garden 2018 shares the same producer, Angie Chai, as the original Taiwan Meteor Garden (2001-2002). So yes, this drama and the new Flower Boys are definitely in good hands with her being hailed as the "Idol Drama Godmother".  So far, it doesn't disappoint. These boys are so adorable, delightful and hmmmmm, so young. ๐Ÿ˜…#TitasofManila spoiler alert

Dylan Wang as Dao Ming Si/Gu Jun Pyo on BOF.
Like always, I always start cheering for Hua Ze Lei with Hong Guan/Darren Chen so adorable as well. He's so like Kim Hyun Joong as Ji Hoo sunbae, with those soulful eyes. Jihoo in BOF, is the ultimate trigger of second lead syndrome just because they went to give a deeper romantic plot line between him and Jan Di (Shan Cai in Meteor Garden). He's your TOTGA (the one that got away). I miss him. Haha. Spoiler. Halfway the Meteor Garden 2018 series, they are not still going for that plot line, so we'll see.

Darren Chen as Hua Ze Lei / Yoon Ji Hoo in BOF played by Kim Hyun Joong
So far, all versions of it all has a perfect Lei that makes you cheer for them at the onset (he will always be either your Soul Mate, One True Friend, and TOTGA ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿ˜‰), and Darren Chen plays the part as well as Kim Hyun Joong did. So let me just take this moment to rally behind him before I give all my undivided fangirling attention to Dylan Wang for being as awesome!!!

Shen Yue as Shan Cai/Geum Jan Di in BOF played by Gu Hye Sun
Connor Leong as Meizuo/ Song Woo-bin played by Kim Joon in BOF and Vanness Wu in the original Meteor Garden
Ceasary Wu as Ximen / So Yi Jung in BOF played by Kim Bum and Ken Wu in the original Meteor Garden
The new Meteor Garden is very well acted, w/ actors acting their age, less animated and out of this world plot lines. (Almost) Just normal young adults falling in love and going though the motions of everyday (chaebol) life. The soundtrack, oh my, it's as nice as BOF. But, with BOF is still so fresh on my mind (I cannot get enough of Gu Jun Pyo and Yoon Ji Hoo), I'm hoping that they will at least follow the same order of events from it. Just because it makes sense. Will see. More so, just because, I'm realistic ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ˜…, these Flower boys are way out of my league even in my dreams unless I'm going for my second, or third life or body swap ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š, as in, hahaha, they can pass as my nephews, godsons and even sons. So here's the part that I do wish I have a daughter and I can just send her to Shanghai and/or Seoul to meet the F4. ๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿ˜‚✌๐ŸปSo I'm just here to cheer them on. Aja! Aja! Fighting! Jiฤyรณu!

They're super talented, and for that the dramaverse is milking them. My IG is flooded with their activities, brand promotions, etc. But still, just like the rest, I cannot get enough of them. So let's just relax, wait for the subbed episodes on Netflix USA (for me while for the Philippines fans, ABS-CBN got the rights), re-watch original MG or BOF for the meantime, fall in love all over again with Jun Pyo and Ji Hoo. Get a withdrawal syndrome and/or post drama depression at your own risk, and just fan girl like crazy ✌๐Ÿปso follow me on IG @noonades and on my Apple Music account @chicsassymom for my Meteor Garden Soundtrack playlist.

Here's how to stalk fangirl:

ChicSassyMomEats | ๐ŸŒดIn-N-Out Burgers ๐Ÿ”

Oh my, I just realized that I haven't posted about a must-eat, touristy burger place when in California...In-N-Out.

Palm Trees ๐ŸŒดand California Dreams ✨ | In-N-Out Union City
Cheese Fries (Secret Menu), Cheeseburgers and Double Double
The burgers are super nice, they can pass as gourmet burgers, made with fresh and high quality meat, albeit on a fast food setting. And so are the fries, which are fresh hand-cut potatoes. Sounds healthy. ๐Ÿ˜‰So every so often, we crave.  Hmmmm, it seems when you're in California, there's fresh supplies of potatoes and beef and everything else. Beef overload. (I swear. Being here, I feel like I already ate my supply of beef to last me a lifetime vs. my average beef consumption for the past years in Manila.) And for that reason why In-N-Out is apparently not coming to the East Coast anytime soon because they're going and boasting of their freshest ingredients and meats. Yay! No to frozen patties.

#Sundates at In-N-Out
In-N-Out is a fast food that is a must-visit when visiting California. I love the Double Double (Double Patties, Double Cheese) with everything on it. The menu is simple, burgers and fries, plus the secret menu that's not on the menu board. Cheese fries for one, the rest, I have yet to figure those out. I'm inclined to try the No-Bun burgers, well, just because I'm on Diet Foreverrr!  Oh well! Let's eat! Cheers! ✌๐Ÿป

#ChicSassyMomxUSA | More Hearts in San Francisco ❤️

Sometime ago I posted about the hearts in San Francisco. I'm super delighted to be able to see more of them at the heart of it all, the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

2011 Heart by Monika Steiner "Chosen Ones"
2004 Heart by Gary Bukovnik "Heartsy Poppies"
2011 Heart by Precita Eyes Muralists "Celebrating the Heart of the City"
I was able to name the hearts via the gallery of all the Hearts in San Francisco website , though I couldn't find the other two hearts above. Apparently there are over hundreds of hearts all over the city, and there are so many of them here, aptly because The Hearts in San Francisco Project is a signature program for the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Foundation. Watch below the inspiring story behind the project.

Sending finger hearts from San Francisco! ❤️

Salumeria at San Francisco | #ChicSassyMomEats

Annyeong! Yay! TGIF! ๐Ÿค—

There's a new word I acquainted myself with from my line of work... Luncheon. From the industry I currently work for, having a luncheon meeting is such a coveted business opportunity. This is basically where business contacts and/or leads indulge me to take their precious time off  to join me for lunch. I would not have find this super nice place if weren't for it...Salumeria.

Salumeria, San Francisco
Chef Thomas McNaughton and Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, present Salumeria, a deli and larder that marries the traditions of the old world with the food culture of San Francisco. Taking inspiration from the artfully crafted cured meats of Italy and integrating these recipes with local ingredients, Salumeria aims to showcase a selection of house-made salumi and prosciutto with a Northern California sensibility. With our daily lunch offerings as well as a curated selection of cheeses, oils, honeys, cookbooks and fresh made pasta. Our shop functions as both a brunch and lunch destination as well as an after work grocery stop.
To get to San Francisco from Fremont (where I live), I take the BART,  and I get off at Powell Station, because I like the stop (Westfield San Francisco Centre and it's walking distance from the Union Square), then take the Uber. Though, it's actually nearer if you take the 24th St. Mission, or take a MUNI, then walk. Oh well, Uber works for me.

I love the place. It's so charming, it is set beautifully with the overall feel and vibe of San Francisco tourist district... classic, elegant, charming, and quaint. It's a great time to play tourist. I've been told that's it's usually full so it was good planning to be there before lunch.

The place is a reminiscent of V. Sattui for me. Cheese for lunch? Why not? I can use a glass of wine, but I'm officially working. Hah.

Cheese and Salumi Combo Board
Mixed Grain Salad + Roast Beef Sandwich
I super love. ๐Ÿ˜‹Good food and great company, I'm charmed! Cheers! ✌๐Ÿป

Salumeria is located at 3000 20th street SF CA, 94110

#ChicSassyMomFinds | Oakley + Transitions at Costco ๐Ÿค“

Oakley is love. I feel that Oakley are the best eyewear for me, both for prescription and sunglasses (that and Tom Ford).  Plus, it's a brand endorsed by Lee Jong Suk (oh well, there it goes again, my endless Korean-drama-inspired shopping ๐Ÿ™Š), I just feel that there's a deeper connection with the brand. Haha. Moving here, I was initially set on just mostly wearing contact lenses, with nice fake lashes and shades to boot. Oh well, life happens, it's still too much work to put on contact lenses every single day, so eyeglasses it is!

I realized too that it's not so easy to replenish contact lenses here, because you need a separate prescription for one. Instead of just the basic eyeglasses prescription of $69+,  with contact lens fitting, the checkup cost goes to $149+ and you'll usually need appointment. Oh how I miss Executive Optical and Ideal Vision where eye checkup is free! Because I have chubby cheeks higher cheek bones, it's not easy to get just any frame online. I need a perfect fitting. I have been shopping for the nice perfect pair wherever I get the chance, but my, frames can get pricey too. If you want Transitions lenses, it gets more pricey. Hmmmm...so that's why our relatives from Europe and US, when they visit Manila, they make sure to get all their eyewear and dental and medical procedures and everything else there. I miss you, Manila.

From my window shopping, Costco Optical wins. Depending on the frame, a complete pair of prescription eyeglasses with Transition lenses is half the price or even lower than elsewhere. Though you need to be a member, even so, it's still cheaper in Costco. Sometimes, Costco Optical promotions, buy one complete pair, get x $ off for the second pair. That's what I did. Please take note that you still need your prescription. The eye clinic near the optical shop is third-party, so you usually need appointment and fees is on top.

I like that the choice of lens at Costco Optical, though depending on case, is pretty straight forward, so there's not a lot of add-ons or room for up-selling. Mine, I got each Oakley frame for $89.99+ and $100+ for Transitions lenses, less promotion amount, that time was $30off, for my second frame. It's definitely the best deal out there. From others, I was quoted just for a pair, more or less for the same price of the two pairs already.

Oakley Intention Dark Ruby + Transitions Brown
Oakley Fenceline Tortoise + Transitions Gray
When driving, they don't really transition per se to shades-like color. But it gets most of the glare out on a cloudy day, except if it's truly sunny (apparently summer in California is soooh sunny), then I need the visor to keep the glare out. It seems, that's why it's recommended to get another pair for driving with Transitions Drivewear.  This adapts or technically transitions to another color depending on the environment except it doesn't turn clear at all. I might get one next summer. So I'm taking a break from contacts, except when I need to put on my game face with nice lashes to boot. I'm pretty happy with my selfies makeshift sunglasses. They're Oakleys, so hello, Lee Jong Suk! Cheers! ✌๐Ÿป

Busy Shoe Shopping | #Shoefie #ChicSassyMomFinds

Hmmm ๐Ÿ™Š...so lately, I've been busy buying shoes. ๐Ÿคซ

Shopping finds at San Francisco Premium Outlets, Livermore.
My favorite outlet store to date, when in California, is the Livermore outlet. Super love. This is the third best outlet store for me with the best outlet stores being the one in Yeoju (e.g. Gucci, Givency, Burberry etc.) and Paju in South Korea. Let me save another post for the San Francisco Premium Outlets.

I wish I can wear high heels all the time. I'm not office-based anymore, I'm mostly on field and I'm walking a lot. So I ballet flats are my BFFs. I particularly love the Tory Burch Minnie Travel Ballet flats line. Not all flats are created equal in terms of comfort, even for Tory Burch. So I'm on my 4th Minnie Travel ballet flats, and x no. of Tory Burch shoes, but who's counting (just type Tory Burch on my search box)?! ๐Ÿ˜…

While outlet store is the place to be, for department store, I love Nordstrom in Palo Alto. So shoe shopping went on.  I was on a lunch break. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Hello, Lewit Italian Red Shoes! ๐Ÿ˜‰ And you ought to know I'm crazy addicted to Fitflop too. Perfect for summer. Ooops, now I have to get pedicure. Hah.
#OOTD : Red Shoes | Ripped Jeans | Louis Vuitton Speedy Monogram
#OOTD : Gucci GG Vintage Canvas Boston Bag | Fitflop
I love online shopping, who doesn't? Orange you glad? I am! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป‍♀️Tory Burch Minnie Travel Ballet Flats Hicks Garden
#OOTD : Gucci | Colehaan (my, my, super comfy, know I know why my oppa loves Colehaan๐Ÿ˜)
Oh well, one can never have too many shoes. And yes, I do dream of Valentino, Gucci, YSL, Ferragamo, and Givenchy and Prada shoes (that's in order of priority ๐Ÿ™‰). This post is so 2012, but with Meteor Garden fever hitting an all time high again, after Boys Over Flowers, let's all agree that good shoes take you to good places. Cheers! ✌๐Ÿป

#ChicSassyMomxUSA | Hello, San Francisco!

Annyeong, cinggu! ๐Ÿค—

Oh, hello there! It has been a while. It's good to be back. Oh well, I'm still active on IG as @chicsassymom and @noonades (๐Ÿ™Šdedicated just for my fangirling soiree ๐Ÿ˜…), but my, my, as always, I'm such a busybody with so many Asian dramas (Meteor Garden and more) and real life dramas occupying my attention. I'm not sure but I will try my very best not to go MIA again, because blogging is such a good venue to channel all these pent-up dramatics. Hah.

Anyhow, I super love San Francisco. I'm so happy to be here. Technically, it's a BART ride or an hour drive away from us. Let's just say, I'm happy to live in the Bay area where I can play tourist and host city tours to my heart's content. Plus, I do work in San Francisco, so that too.

Here's just a post to break the ice. When in San Francisco, Pier 39 and the Painted Ladies are must-see.

San Francisco is a host to stunning array of Victorian and Edwardian homes. This is one of the row of beautifully, ornate homes near Limon Rotisserie, South Van Ness.
#OOTD: Gucci Bag | Burberry Flats
I can't get enough of the city, there's still so much more to see. So when we had the chance, we came to see the Painted Ladies. We're coming from a family gathering in Limon Rotisserie, and we're pleasantly surprised that just near it, where we parked, are even nicer and enchanting Victorian homes (photo above).

Hello, #PaintedLadies ! ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ˜These are the iconic "Painted Ladies" along Steiner Street. They are one of the best-known row of Victorian Houses across the Alamo Square Park.

Having said that we're sort of locals now, it's now our pleasure to tour visitors around. Our favorite lunch venue in the city is the Pier 39. There so much to see (there is one San Francisco heart here) and to do. From our different visits, the feel and vibe beautifully change with the season. I normally love Fall and Winter, but my, spring is such a delight to see with the many different flowers blooming. Aha. The many seal lions I've been used to seeing were apparently not present all year round. They go missing for several weeks until they go back home to the famed Pier 39 dock. Now, I know.

at Pier 39.
#OOTD Chanel Bag | Fendi Belt | Burberry Flats
While we're used to Manila traffic, an hour drive to and from home is a bit taxing here. Personally, I don't think I'm brave enough yet to drive around the winding, uphill and downhill San Francisco streets. Those, plus the rush hour traffic to get out of the city via the bay bridges, I'm a happy Bart and Uber rider. (BART is love, it's easy and convenient, I just wish that it remains safe and toilets are clean.)

I so love San Francisco, at most the tourist and the business districts. The Golden Gate bridge and all the other many bridges are such architectural feats. It's such a charming and enchanting city with those nice homes, and perfect weather to boot. So yes, for those reasons, that me too can say that I left my heart in San Francisco. Cheers! ✌๐Ÿป
