Updated #Skincare and #Makeup Must Haves

Annyeong, cinggu!🤗

You ought to know I'm a skincare addict 🙋🏻, and I take inspiration from my Korean drama stars. Fangirl forever. Their glowing skin ✨, oh how I love and covet thee. So dramatically, the bar is set so high with the Korean drama goddess as benchmark, so on plain sight, it looks like I'm so vain with all these skincare I use. Ha. Through the years, of several hits (here and there), my precious skin takes a lot of work. It takes commitment to do the 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 skincare steps. Proudly, more often than not, I stay committed.

Here's my updated skin care routine. Innisfree remains my mainstay go-to Korean Beauty Care brand. (I'm missing my oppa, Lee Min Ho, and my motherland). What's new is Shiseido, which surprisingly I only met in the USA. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I should have hoarded last time when we went to Japan. Oh well.

#Skincare After cleansing, I slather and layer thee:
Innisfree Bija Trouble Skin | Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate and Shiseido Ultimate Power Infusing Concentrate, both I need to replenish and will remain regular Step 3 and 4 in my routine | loving Innisfree Soybean Energy Cream, which is perfect for the cold weather, when summer comes, I can revisit getting the serum again. | Juice Beauty Green Apple Brightening Eye Cream | Lucas' Papaw is love, and I can't live without it.
I ought to dedicate a post for Lucas' Papaw. Truly, I can't part with it. Thank goodness for Amazon. I use it as lip balm at night, pre-lipstick application, and for everything else it says it does...Breakouts, rashes too.

Magical Lucas' Papaw🤩
Now on to my easy peasy, everyday makeup.

Benefit Cosmetics Cheek Parade | New is Shiseido Tinted Suncscree | KPalette Eyebrow Tint | Kanebo Kate Eyeliner (forever favourite) | Lucas' Papaw
Shiseido Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector No. 2. I love, love, love thee. It replaces my BB Cream and Cushions for now. I used it to manage my breakouts from last time, when I had to limit what I use, works as a sunscreen and foundation in one. This had me at hello.
I have a bias for Korean and Japanese brands except for Benefit Cosmetics, which is my go-to US brand. And more brownie points for it since I'm staying in San Francisco. The Rockateur, I'm using it for the season for that subtle dewy glow. Last summer, it was Galifornia for me.
#FOTD I wish I woke up like this. Haha. I never did a dedicated post for the Kanebo Kate Spider Liner, which I can't live without and I hoarded in Japan. This replaces my love for the Kanebo Kate Pencil Liner.
First, beautiful skin, then makeup. Plus a lot more. Haha. Sleep, nutrition, exercise, and a whole lot more. Unless you're a natural goddess, bless you. Hmmm, now that I reflect, I don't sleep (because of Korean drama marathon), what exercise (wine counts, right?!) and I'm on yo-yo diet forever. So yes, I only have the skincare routine and makeup. Wish me luck. Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomFinds | Bath and Body Works Christmas Coupons and Favorites

Oh Bath and Body addiction love for it, no words. Aw. 😉

Aromatherapy Stress Relief and Happiness + Christmas Coupons
Remember my shopping tip 7 years ago (below) ... it still applies. That purchase above, I used the Free Item of your choice coupon emailed to me. It's Free Item for every $10 purchase. Then from buying that, I got the Christmas Coupons.

When shopping at Bath & Body Works in the US, make sure you don't buy bulk! Cut your purchases into at least $30 first, then schedule your next visit...why? Because they give out free gift, discount coupons every after purchase, (at least that's my experience for the 3 visits I had in less than a month's time)! Like a $10 off card for every $30 purchase, a Buy1, Get 1 the same item, a free item etc...Feel Good! Smell Good! Happy Shopping!

Although, they don't give out physical coupons as often, best to sign up at Bath and Body Works online and you get the deals, offers and coupons, and you have to show your email in store. And more often than not, I'm so easy to get. Ha.

Today, I went out to use the first coupon again, the free item. 😉
Today I bought the Mint Leaf & Bergamot Body Wash with Olive Oil and for the freebie, I got the candle holder (they make the best smelling and lasting candle everrr, so watch out for their 3-wick Candles Sale). Oh happy day. Smart shopping, isn't it?! Haha
But then there was more promotions in store, so I ended up getting more body creams. Told you, I'm so easy to get. Methinks this is my new favorite scent and line after the Stress Relief. I love the Essential Oils line with Olive Oil. It's truly creamy and moisturizing...saves my precious hands from too much dishwashing. Ha.
Yay! It's beginning to look alot like Christmas, everywhere you go. Oh but there's more, there is still that big Thanksgiving and Black Friday and oh yeah the Cyber Monday Sale. Wish me luck. Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomEats | Nothing Bundt Cake 🎂

Life is short, eat the cake. I just might have (with my blossoming optimism) the perfect cake place when in California...Nothing Bundt Cake makes the best and prettiest bundt cake everrr.

Nothing Bundt Cakes Fremont Hub is baking the world a better place
It was love at first sight and bite last Christmas. Aw. It's so festive, so pretty, and the cake is perfectly moist, chocolatey, and the signature cream cheese frosting is divine. We connected. It's like it's meant for me. If you will type cake and red velvet in my search box, you will see I adore cake. Oh well, I buy and eat cake because it's somebody's birthday somewhere (that's why I'm plump). 😉
Chocolate Holly Jolly Seasonal Nothing Bundt Cake 10" $43+
I want more...and Chaseyboy's birthday was the perfect time to indulge.

Happy 'Bundt'day, dear son! 😍  Red Velvet 8" $33+
When I'm organizing birthday parties for my son (and that's every year for the past 12 years), my first criteria for the bakeshop is which makes the most fancy looking cake. Oh well, truth be told, kids will be kids, and nobody really stay on to eat the cake on lavish birthday party (normally grand parties are until the 7th birthday), and we just mostly eat the cake for ourselves. Hello, hello. Through the years of practice, we know which makes not only the nicest looking cake but also the tastiest cake. With the Nothing Bundt Cake, Red Velvet + Signature frosting made with velvety cream cheese and real butter + theme decors and toppers, this must be my favorite cake place ever.

Updated December 6, 2017:  More birthday occasions to buy a cake...below is my husband's cake. 🎂

Missing bundt cake? The cupcakes aptly and cutely called "bundtinis" are  perfect.

Red Velvet, Lemon, Chocolate and White Raspberry. I need to try the Carrot soon. #nbc
You can order cake online to arrange a pick up, and if you like to customize a card, add more topper to your seasonal cake orders. When you drop by the store, oh my, it's as pretty.

Black and White. I like.
Sweetness. Cake everyday, okay! 😋 Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomEats | Miki Bistro Sushi Overload 🍣 #TurningJapanese

Konnichiwa! ðŸ¤—

I'm also turning Japanese, I really think so. (I'm missing Japan) For the love of me, I cannot get enough of sushi (yes, meaning, I can't give up rice, just yet). 😅

A long time ago, I discovered baked, fried sushi. It was love at first try. In Manila, it was only last year that Ooma (in SM Megamall) came along. Happily, luckily, I found one in Fremont. Oh Miki Bistro, you had me at sushi.

Complimentary Edamame, and Free Spicy Salmon Chips Appetizer when checking in on FB.
Sushi on my mind. Yum! 😋

Lion King Roll $10.95 California Roll dressed up in filet of salmon, perfectly baked, tobiko.
Lion King Roll. Roar. Happiness.
Spy vs. Spy $13.95
Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Crab, Topped with Spicy Tuna, Avocado...divine!
Honey Crunch Roll $10.95 Shrimp Tempura, Crab Meat, Top withe Mango, Honey Walnut and House Special Sauce...goody!
To go, Dynamite Roll $9.95 Crab meat, avocado, topped with mix fish spicy mayo baked to perfection with unagi sauce, tobiko. Nomnomnom.
Word for the day. Tobiko are those little orange balls on top of the sushi.
Tobiko is one of the most prized sushi roe, valued as a finishing touch and garnish to rolls as well as enjoyed on its own by true lovers of the dish. Tobiko is the roe of tropical flying fish, which are known for their ability to leap into the air at speeds of over 40 mp/h. Tobiko adds a splash of color and its unmistakeable crunchy texture to many different rolls, including the popular California roll. If you eat sushi regularly, it is a good bet you have enjoyed Tobiko in your life. - Source
Oh Miki, you're so fine, you blow my mind.

Miki Bistro is located at  Address: 39156 Paseo Padre Pkwy Fremont, Ca 94538
When in California, I settle with not dining out as frequent as we did back when we're in Manila. My Korean fix, gladly, thankfully, I get it at home, easy peasy samgyupsal, kimchi jjigae, galbijim, and kimchi all I like. Same with American food...steaks, burgers, and what have you, name it. Just because,  Lucky Supermarket, Trader Joe's and Costco got it all for you. 😉 But for Japanese food, I can't do diy, unless somebody send me to Japan for intensive cooking lesson (I volunteer!🙋🏻)  Oh my, sushi, sashimi, bento boxes, ramen are just to die for.  So I don't think I can give up on rice just yet. Okay, maybe once in a while.  Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomFinds | Kiss Ready to Wear Gel Nails 💅🏼

Happiness is having my nails done. Aw. That was my life then, when Manila nail spa is a $10 affair. Not here in California though, when it's a $40+ expense  treat. Oh well, since it's the season to have beautiful nails, so I'm back to what I used to do best, easy peasy, DIY, falsies. Tadaaaa!!!

So pretty. What a joy. I'm a happy girl! 💃🏻
#NOTD Instant Shining, Shimmering, Glitzy Gel Manicure #KissNails
Because Glitter is my favorite color... FANTASY Ready-To-Wear Gel Nails from Kiss® bought at Target for $ 7.99+
While they are too pretty, they are not as comfortable for me, I'm not really used to wearing my nails long. Gosh, I'm singing praises to those who wear them long, my goddess. Ha. I got the medium length, I think I'm better off with just the Small.

After prepping my nails, I applied the adhesive tabs (I opted to go for the adhesive than the glue). Because I have really short nails, the tabs are a bit longer, so I had to trim them. Once set, meaning I know which tabs, nails go to where, I press them on. Voila! Instant sparkle.
It was a great day to prettify, I had fake nails and matching fake lashes on. Aw. Though, I only wear them for a day. The adhesive tabs, I tell you, super glued. To remove them, I applied a wet cotton with nail polish remover on the side just to release them before I pull.

Hello, false nails. There are more designs to choose from. I usually like different colors and sets, but mostly with glitters (I love glittery stuff), so yay, when all else fails, at least I'll have nice nails. Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomFinds | Haircare Products Haul 💆🏻

Oh my. Latest haul (besides my recent shopping spree ðŸ˜‰) was for this assortment of haircare products. Anything with hair fall, breakage, thinning hair, I was compelled to buy. Hmmm, Legend of the hair fall. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sad.

Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo...Giovanni, Nioxin or Matrix Biolage
Is this the season of hairfall too? 😱 My hair was fine until few weeks ago. I'm tempted to count them if they are over a 100. Ha. Seriously, I hope it's just the weather or hair care routine change, nothing hormonal. Yikes.

So far, anything that says hair fall, thinning, volume, I'm trying out. I hope that the Nioxin System 1 (though will try system 4 next time) delivers. The Nioxin Rejuvenating Elixir smells so good. Well, mostly all smells good, thought the main criteria for purchase is the functionality, then I streamlined my choices based on their scent. Matrix Biolage smells as nice too. Oh well, most are over $10.

Chic & Sassy Tip: I bought most in Marshalls. The small Giovanni Root 66 Volume, I bought it at Whole Foods Market for over $10 at half the size. So yes, Marshalls or Ross or TJMaxx is it.

Ahhhh, I need my Gugo Shampoo or Novuhair, but oh well...I sure hope, one of these delivers. Will keep this post sticky, and will let you know what works best, and what will I repurchase. Cheers! 🍷

Hours and hours of shopping, and fitting, no problem. #OOTD #Superdry #AdidasNMDR1Primeknit #Uniqlo #Lacoste
Oh my, seriously, they're super nice and worth the price. What to do? Ottoke?! Truly, madly, deeply addicting. Oh well, it can't be Nike all the time, sorry not sorry, my dear boys (hubby and son 😉), but I'm liking NMD's, and once you try, you can't stop.  🤷🏻‍♀️ Cheers! 🍷

#ChicSassyMomFinds | Winter Clothes Shopping in Marshalls 👢👢 *Heaven

Hello, hello! 🤗 Present! 🙋🏻 As always, I went MIA, boo. But oh well, I had a change of heart (so dramatic, as always, ha) so while I swear off shopping until that D-Day (waiting for something amazing) happens, bravely (haha),  I had to just go on one major winter shopping spree (oh well, why not?!). This time at Marshalls.

OOTD 1: Michael Kors Leather (dream come true), Calvin Klein Turtleneck sweater, Steve Madden Tights #Favorite #ShoppingFinds
Winter is coming. I love, love, love winter clothes shopping.  Plus, Christmastime is my favorite season everrr.  Amazingly, staying in San Francisco means longer chilly times, and more OOTD photo ops. Basically, it's a justified shopping spree considering I will be wearing these not just for vacay but they will be my everyday wear until Summer 2018 comes. 😉

Marshalls belongs to the same retail group as TJ Maxx and Ross (and Homegoods). Ross is Ross. But surprisingly, depending on the area, there are really sweet finds there too. From where we are staying, there are more Marshalls than TJ Maxx's. So, Marshalls is it for moi. Nicely, it doesn't disappoint.

Boots are love. They complete me. Nautica Boots $30+
Sperry boots $50+
XOXO Boots $30+
OOTD 2: Calvin Klein Peach Turtleneck $30+
OOTD 3: Nautica Raincoat $60, Modern Heritage Tights, Cable and Gauge Sweater $20, Sperry Boots
I'm broke a happy girl. 😆 Let's go. Where to? Cheers! 🍷
