#ChicSassyMomTravels | Free Taiwan Airport Half Day City Tours

Hello from sunny California, and yes, we're back!

I do hope you're following me on IG @chicsassymom , it's has been pretty exciting for Team Doligosa. Hmmm, now that I think about it, it was that dramatic exciting since the start of the year. Basically, we're all just out and about here and there, Manila, Taiwan, USA, Seoul, Singapore, Seoul again, and now back here in California. Let me back track a bit to rave on the Free City Tours of Taiwan Airport, which we had last December when we took Eva Air for a Manila-Chicago (ORD) flight.

This is our second time to transit from Taiwan Airport, last time was when we took China Air.  Even without the tour, the airport is so well-equipped to entertain and to comfort transit passengers. So the free tour further sweetens the experience. Transit or transfer passengers with 7- to 24-hour layovers before the next connecting flight from Taiwan Airport, and who have valid R.O.C. visas or come from countries eligible for visa-exempt entry are qualified to join the city tour.  To date, Filipinos, Philippine Passport holders are not yet "visa free entry" to Taiwan.  We have US Visa, so we applied for Taiwan (R.O.C.) visa online here.

From the immigration, we went out to the Tourist Service Center on the arrival area.

We were booked for the Morning Tour.
When it was time to leave, 8:00 am, we were ushered to the bus.

First stop was the San Shu Gong Food Co.
It's a food factory that sells baked goods, confectionaries and snacks, where you can taste, buy, and even make your own pastry.
Unlike Hongkong tours, where you are compelled to buy, here, there was no pressure at all, but we bought nonetheless because we wanted to.

Second stop was the Zushi Temple and Sanxia Old Street.

It was a nice day to be out and about.

Chaseyboy, out and about on Sanxia Old Street. I recommend the Stinky Tofu. 👌🏻😋

If I will do transit with my son, Taiwan International Airport will be my foremost choice. The airport facilities and themed waiting areas will not bore him. So far, we're into Star Alliance, so Eva Air is nice choice, and they do have seasonal promo fares. Till next time. Cheers! :-D
