Holy Grail: Hera HD Perfect Powder Pact

What's up, cinggu? Annyeong! (Teehee πŸ€—, just fresh out of watching Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Ep 12, hence, for the what's up. )

Oh Hera, I love thee.

πŸ’πŸ»πŸ’‹ #Hera is the priciest #PowderPact I got 😌😊 but well, If I will be an #UrbanGoddess like #JeonJiHyun why not πŸ€£πŸ’•πŸ˜ #SimCheong πŸ’• #SeoulShopping #KoreanCosmetics #beauty #Seoul #ChicSassyMomFinds #Travel #chicsassymomtravels #Makeup #Cosmetics #LotteDutyFree #HolyGrailMakeup #Favorite #Makeup
I'm already a fan of Hera (search Hera in the blog for more FOTD), but I used to settle for trial sizes from online sellers, as it's very pricey, still is. I thought I deserve a treat, I finally got one in the Lotte Duty Free, for about $42. Super best buy.

I used to get No. 21, but the lady told me I'm No. 23. Okay. Swatch of No. 23.
Hera is a Korean brand endorsed by the Jeon Ji Hyun of My Sassy Girl, You From Another Star, and the most recent, Legend of the Blue Sea. Love her.  I'm absolutely sold!

Features of Hera HD Powder Pact I lifted from Hera Brand Site
Truth be told, I just got the pact that's available in the store, only to realize later why the Aha! factor. Nice, just really goes well with how I need a quick, easy peasy everyday makeup for work that lasts the whole day and no breakouts (very important, as I have very sensitive skin).

Now for the FOTD...

Taken outdoor, indoor, outdoor. #FOTD Hera Perfect HD Powder Pact No. 23
Posted these in my IG too (@chicsassymom) I've been trying out different lipsticks (Kylie's Kristen, Benefit Cosmetics' They're Real) plus loving my Tom Ford Sunnies 😎 from Lotte Duty Free as well.

For night events, for targeted luminance, I used Benefit Cosmetic's High Beam.

Oh my, I'm almost out of it. πŸ˜”
Seriously loving it. So yes, I will definitely repurchase. Sad, they don't have this in Althea. I hope I can find it in the duty free when we go to SG. Or is a Seoul trip in order? πŸ€” Will let you know. Cheers! 🍷

Seoul Searching 2017: Metro Hotel Myeongdong Seoul

Annyeong! ;-D

Hope all is well with everyone. As for yours truly, my life is full of drama, as always...a good mix of family, romcom, office but thankfully, not makjang. πŸ˜‚

It's April! Yay! I can't wait for some vacation time for the Holy Week. Hmmm, it's Singapore for the fambam. How I wish it's another Seoul trip, but oh well, you can't have them all. Just in case you're Seoul bound, do checkout my quick post of Metro Hotel Myungdong  (that's how it's spelled in the hotel).  We stayed at the Family Suite last Feb 2-5 for 4 Days, 3 nights.

Metro Hotel Myeongdong Facade, Reception, Lobby, PC Corner. There are other facilities (gym, laundry, play area for kids, vending machine, hot and cold water dispenser, dining area, veranda etc.)

Family Suite
Hallway, Coffee & Tea + Generous Complimentary Bottled Water, Toilet and Bath and amenities
For four Seoul Sisters, the room is very spacious. We have more than enough space to hold our M-XL luggages and a lot of shopping bags after. We can do all sorts of packing maneuvering to our hearts' content.

Buffet Breakfast at The Clubhouse
Breakfast spread is okay, mix of Korean and American. The Japchae is winner. I love the pastries too with danish and croissants.  It's pleasantly unremarkable, meaning I don't mind that some are recurring over the course of our stay.

The ajussi guard at the ground floor is very friendly and helpful, and so is everyone, the receptionists and the ajummas in the dining area.

There is a Starbucks adjacent to it, though, we were so busy, and couldn't really find time to chill. It's still in Myeongdong, very near Lotte Duty free, and everything else.

Methinks, Metro Hotel is my favorite vs. JHill Myeongdong and K-Guesthouse Myeongdong 2. So yes, very nice-h!

Published Rates. For our stay, we paid Php 32,896 for 3 Nights.
From the airport, take Bus No. 6015,  Ibis Hotel Myeongdong Stop.

Address: 14 Myeongdong 9ga-gil, Jung-gu, Myeong-dong, Seoul, South Korea, 04534

LSPA Appreciation Night in the Wild Wild West

Oh my, how time flies, few more days left and my Chaseyboy will be graduating Grade 6. We're grateful. πŸ™πŸΌ

Since Grade 1, when we started in LSGH, we remain to be very much involved and engaged in the school's PTA. In LSGH, it's called La Salle Parents' Association (LSPA).

Every year end, Board Members of the LSPA organize an Appreciation Night, which is a grand occasion to recognize the contributions of everyone who served the Lasallian community with great patience and dedication. This year,  it's Wild Wild West. Yeehaw!

Oh well, I got all dolled up, just because. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

We offer our immense gratitude and cheers to our amazing board members and staff of the LSPA, for the great effort and amazing dedication to see this this through with us. The same gratefulness goes to our wonderful Grade 6 class representatives, you complete us! Animo, La Salle! Cheers! 😍

Birthday Gift: Louis Vuitton Wallet

Oh wow, I just realized that it has been quite sometime, years even, since I wrote about a bag post. If I will have my way, I hope to be a fashion blogger. Yay! My wish. #prettyplease πŸ˜‚

Anyhow, I missed on the opportunity of posting about my recent acquisitions of designer bags and wallets. As if. Hah. This is a latergram belated blog post.

Love you ❤️, Honey-oh for gifting me my 4th Louis Vuitton (πŸ€” let's count the blessings πŸ˜‡). So just you know, my husband is super brand loyal (he loves Nike, but only Kobe Bryant and Jordan lines), for me, he insists thinks I can only do LV and Prada, so far he's supporting only those two brands (I dream of more Givenchy and Balenciaga too). Hahaha. Love you, Hon! For my birthday in California, he gifted me a matching wallet.

Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet Monogram Canvas
Louis Vuitton Zippy Wallet M41895
Official LV Product Description: The Zippy Wallet gets an upgrade: this new version of our iconic wallet boasts 4 extra credit card slots and a colourful leather lining. Combining well-organised functionalities with a pure design, it is the optimal answer to an urban lifestyle.
Tadaa! Nice-he!!! 😍 I have my must-have cards with me, one side for the misc ( Starbucks Cards x 2, Lee Joon Gi T-Money Card, SSS ID, S&R, HMO Card), the other side is for my bank cards. I have more membership and discount cards, I keep another wallet for those. I love that it has many compartments, just to be better organized. ☺️
Lee Joon Gi T-Money Card + LV Wallet = Love ❣️#Fangirl
So now for the price, it goes for $805 plus tax, it went to $870. I know because the OR serves as the authenticity proof, I had to ask it for safekeeping. You ought to know except on supermarket and skincare shopping, I tend to be naturally miserly. I have a lower spending threshold. πŸ˜‚ To date, I have two favorite wallet (this and the Prada). While some said it's nice to do matching, my, that's just so much effort. So far, so good. (Meantime) I couldn't ask for more. Cheers! ;-D

P.S. Oh, just in case you are subscribed to my blog (please, please don't unsubscribe, it pains meπŸ’”), you would know that I'm on a blogging marathon πŸ˜‚. Oh my, it must be because it feels like there is a countdown for D-Day (happening on February 15), and while I do hope I'll be true that I will update this more often, will try to blog as much as I can.

VDay Gift Ideas: Te Amo Floristeria πŸ’πŸŒ·πŸŒΉ

My FB timeline is flooded with Valentine's dates and gift giving. I thought this might be a timely post to do. Lucky, I can confidently ask hubby what I want for gifts. So for our Anniversary I asked him for flowers from Te Amo Floristeria. Its creations are like Korea's Fleurette (IG:_fleurette_), which are Seoul-ful, and feels like home. 😍 Take note, I sent him a screenshot of the arrangement I like. He went home with a bit modified arrangement, more with his style and flower preference. I'm a happy girl.

Te Amo. I love you. ❣️

I did't dare ask the price (but I was dying to do so πŸ˜‚). But eventually I found out, when a friend got one for his wife. Hmmm, so an arrangement like that can go from Php 5000-8000. (Hmmm...πŸ€” Thinks hard as this is like a Pandora Bracelet or a Jo Malone). Okay, I'm content to receive one, annually on our anniversary. Perhaps in the future, I can ask another from my son on my birthday.

For your arrangement, visit Te Amo Floristeria's Official Website

Better late than never: Hello, 2017!

Hello, hello, 2017! 2016, oh how I love thee. 2017, let's bring it on. So far, so good.

Oh my, hope all is well with everyone. It's really been a while since I went MIA (I do hope you are following me on IG @chicsassymom for daily updates).

My last post was my October 2016 trip to Seoul. A lot have happened since. A series of post for Seoul 2017 will be shared soon (oh I do hope to find time to do so). Anyhow, I hope to be more diligent. It dawned on me that I was just stressing and dilly dallying, unnecessarily. I do intend to blog a lot, I take thousands of photos, but in the end, between blogging and watching K-Drama, the addiction always win. ;-D

After Seoul in 2016, we went to Taiwan, Chicago, California. Last February 2017, I went back to Seoul. Please check out my Instagram @chicsassymom #ChicSassyMomTravels.
Just when I decided to blog today, I opened my MacBook, and no battery!!! Really. I had to take the effort to charge it (should I blog or should I not? hah) and it's already playing on my mind just how I will nag my son later on my rule on never to let it run on low bat, let alone, no bat. Shocks! Okay, I will relax and remind myself it's a Monday. Chill.

I am forced to be a morning person, since the alarm kicks off every 4am, everyday, to nag help my son get ready for school. That would have been super great so I can be early for work, but not, I sneak back to sleep, and ends up forcing myself to wake up again feeling either sleep deprived (complaining how life is so unfair for an employee like yours truly ;-D) or lethargic for someone who can actually afford staying in bad whole day just because I'm on my last two days of vacation before starting out work elsewhere. Yes, I'm moving! Hmmm, will save a post for it. So there, hope this post jumpstart my 2017.

Chinese New Year officially marks my 2017, we're not Chinese (hubby is only 12.5%), but I take time to celebrate at home with dinner and some traditions just because we were abroad for the past two New Years.  New Year for 2016 we were in Japan and Hongkong, and 2017 we were in California, but we're getting ready for our Jan 1 early flight back to Manila. So here's to new beginning...

I'm sort of into red wine now. πŸ· Just because I read somewhere on the weight-loss benefits of it.  πŸ€”πŸ˜‚
Cheese Plate 101. I love cheese. Those cheese(s) I brought all the way from California, and had to pass a TSA Security Manual scrutiny. πŸ™ŽπŸ»
2016 was beyond amazing. It felt like I was on a rollercoaster. There were a lot of dramas uphill, every climb was challenging, but then every drop was exhilarating. There was a question posted to me on just where do I get the energy to go through all those real life drama (new work/company, LSPA (son's school PTA) presidency, travel, fangirling etc.), I think it's through a lot of help and prayers, that I muster the courage to go through all of them. I'm sincerely thankful. It's not all peaches and cream but I know it can only get better. This blog post I did for CNY 2012, is still very much relevant, relatable and applicable. So here goes...I'm taking 2017! It's mine! It can be yours too! Let's be fabulous in 2017! Happy, 2017! I'll be your forever grateful, at your service, Chic and Sassy Mom!  Cheers! πŸ»πŸŽŠ

About Me

My photo

Wifey to JB and Mommy to Chasey :) It's said that one's eyes are windows to one's soul. True! My eyes twinkle when I'm happy, they light up with my smile. I’m no frills! I'm easy to read (except during Poker). I easily get teary eyed on practically both happy and sad things. I'm overly emotional! UP,Toy Story 3, and Glee made me cry with delight. My hubby is my source of strength. He balances that side of my personality. He made me a more self-reliant person.I love being a mom. But be it known that I tend to be OC, paranoid, and definitely see my self as a stage mom.I can't help but throw him parties every year.I love to read. If there is a lifetime membership to Book Lover's Club, I've probably signed in as early as Grade 1. I'm blessed to have a special relationship with God. He is my confidante. I practically talked to him anywhere and anytime about anything. I'm a Kapampangan and supposedly known for having culinary skills. This still needs to be found perfected, but for sure, I can say I'm a gourmand!I love to eat and it shows!Oh well!Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder and Happiness is only a state of mind. From today onwards, I intend to live in a Happy Mode!Cheers!
