Shoe Shopping

A girl can never have too many shoes and purses, bling, clothes, and "me' time too.

Found this in a shop in Wisconsin.  Reality bites. Kinda depressing, hence, retail therapy is recommended every so often. *Teehee
It seems my boys can never have too many as well. Part of my spring cleaning is rationalizing the many pairs in our shoe rack. I was probably able to let go of four pairs (my motto: let it go, so I can get more! *Teehee) But my, they couldn't decide, and it's probably 75% Nike Shoes (Kobe and Jordans Shoes). So yes, they do love their kicks to bits.

Nike Shoe Shopping in Nike Town in Union Square, San Francisco. Family Affair.
Just do it. Jordan Legacy Level Store by Shiekh Shoes in San Francisco.
Whenever, wherever, we always go to a Nike Store.

They finally convinced me to get a pair. I got my very first Kobe 9 (OOTD post here). Hmmm, so that's how it feels. Now, I feel like I'm up to the challenge of collecting Nikesss for myself. I like more Kobe, more neon pink and neon green kind. The task will be doubly therapeutic if I do online shopping, don't you think?  ^_^ For something new, and something blue, see this link for women's shoes at ZALORA. They have Nike and a whole lot more. Online Retail Therapy, just do it! Cheers! ^_^

Dear Fellow Hoarders,

A Day in a Life of a Homemaker #HelpWanted #FavoriteThings

Annyeong, friends!

I'm done with the household chores. #HappyDance Time to blog and Korean drama marathon starts soon.

Time to relax. New sheets. Check. Oh, find my Tempur pillow, if you can. ;-D Mac time awaits.
We have our hands full with our day jobs. Chaseyboy, my 9-year old son, is on a summer break, and needs someone to stay with him. Plus, we have a Kuya driver to feed. So having a house helper is indispensable for yours truly. She can either make or break my heart. For a week now, I'm sincerely heart broken. #Drama

Hello, Tempur Pillow!

Happy Sunday! ^_^

Sometime ago,  I treated myself with a Tempur pillow.

Tempur Shangri-la Plaza Showroom

Tempur Pillow Choices...Clockwise: Ergonomic Original, Sonata, Symphony, Traditional Comfort Cloud Pillow,
I'm a side sleeper, I choose Symphony Pillow.
Tempur Symphony Pillow Product Features:  This design provides two pillows in one. One side allows the shoulder to fit below the pillow, making it comfortable when sleeping on your side, while the other is gently arched to support your head and neck when sleeping on your back.
Not only the features of the Symphony pillow suit me best, but also the design and price also work for me. For now, I'm only the sole happy owner of Tempur pillow at home, it makes sense to get Symphony pillow because it doesn't stand out in our bed.

I love hoarding pillows every so often (like last time herehere, and here too). But it seems, of all the 10++ pillows on our bed, I have to make sure I use only the two ones (Charisma, but it tend to loose its shape and fluffiness overtime) to ensure that I don't end up waking up with a bad case of stiff neck plus back pains (ouch, I'm old!). So you see, I'm not really being capricious to get a Php 6K(with discount) pillow for moi, it's really for health/medical reasons. *Teehee ^_^

I tell you, the pillow is aesthetically and scientifically awesome (with its NASA seal and a lot more). My son loves it too. He made me promise to get him his own for Christmas.  I reckon, a Tempur pillow is also a good gift idea to my parents, for good night sleeps and even sweeter dreams!

Sleeping with a Tempur pillow is very, very therapeutic to me. Albeit, late sleeper (blame it on my Korean drama marathons), I feel that I still do get a good dose of beauty sleep. I'll probably own a Tempur Bed still yearsss from now, so for now, a Tempur pillow will have to do. Cheers! ^_^

Review: #Beautyblender Liquid Blendercleanser®

Sometime ago I treated myself with beautyblender-s and a matching bottle of liquid blendercleanser® to take advantage of the buy $50 less $10 off deal for that day. That was years back, and yes, my beautyblenders are still alive pretty and very much functional. I need them. I take them everywhere.

Here's a belated review of the liquid blendercleanser®, which I just pleasantly emptied after years.

BeautyBlender Liquid Blendercleanser. The one I got was still in a old packaging. The latest kind featured in Sephora, comes in a nifty pump dispenser.
It took a while for me to empty it because I was being stingy so I used it to its fullest. I diligently wash my beautyblender everyday, so mostly I use an anti-bacterial soap (Safeguard is it!), then save the blendercleanser for spring cleaning along with my makeup brushes. While the soap does work, I find that there are BB Creams that are more pigmented and tend to be more difficult to remove, then I reach for the ever reliable blendercleanser.

How to clean Beautyblender + Shu Uemura Lightbulb Sponge:
-Wet your beautyblender® or makeup brushes.
-Apply a dime-sized amount of liquid blendercleanser® to soiled areas.
-For hard-to-remove stains on beautyblender and for makeup brushes, pour a small amount of blendercleanser® into a bowl with water and pre-soak.
-Work into lather by gently squeezing, rinse, and repeat if necessary.
-Squeeze to remove excess water.
All-cleaned up. Spring cleaning makeup brushes (EcoTools, Denman, Body Shop) with liquid blendercleanser®
Before and After. Yay!^_^
Awesome. So yes, the liquid blendercleanser delivers.

The only downside of the cleanser was the packaging. It's so hard to dispense, because you cannot squeeze it given a solid bottle. If I open the cap, I ended up putting a lot more.  Thank goodness for a new packaging, I'm tempted to repurchase.

I gifted the pink a la the original beautyblender to my sister, I kept the two plus I got the Shu Uemura sponge from last time.  This was pretty recent, like February this year. Awww, I'm mighty proud how I'm doing such a pretty okay job to keep my makeup blenders intact (you should see my sister's ;-D). So I reckon that the splurging then was totally worth it. Cheers! ^_^

Seoul Travel Part 6: Street Food Hits

Annyeong! ^_^ Happy Joongi Day!

I'm back with my latest installment of my Seoul travelogue...I can't wait to be back! I promise  to make it back next time to see the beautiful cherry blossoms.

Here's my Seoul Food Diary Part 1 (yes, there's more ^_^).

When in Namsan Tower, drink coffee. One of many coffee cups from several cafes in Seoul. Cold Stone Cafe Mocha in Namsan Tower. #Hit
Sipping your coffee via straw. To avoid the teeth-staining effects of coffee, best to sip it via a BPA-Free (hope so) Coffee Straw. Sip it while it hot warm, I think this works in Korea winter weather, because the coffee doesn't stay hot for too long.
Churros too are everywhere.
Out and about in Myeongdong...

Myeongdong is it! Being relatively a new traveler in Seoul, Myeongdong is the perfect place to be. We stayed in Hotel JHill, where everything is awesome...Innisfree shopping, fashion and food, they've got it all for you.

Corn, Barbecue, Chicken Skewers, Hotdogs, name it.
Sorry for the poor photo quality, but this is definitely a hit. It's like a dessert pancake. Not sure what's it's called, if you do, please let me know.
Strawberry Mochi. #SuperLoveit
How to make Strawberry Mochi.
Fish cakes skewers. They come with a broth for free. Yum!
More fish cake and broth, please, and Jajangmyeon to boot (hoping to try the real deal next time instead of having instant).  Ministop by the Han River. Was hoping to catch Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain Show, but no show yet. Will save it for next time.
We had Tteokbokki, Twister Potatoes, and a whole lot more. Street food are mostly for snacks. But with several choices, we decided to save a dinner just sampling all the street food. So good.

So sorry, I couldn't account for all the prices. What we did was to put up a kitty, we pool all our money to pay for our meals, taxi and bus fares.

Please stay tuned for the next part of Seoul Food Diary for real resto meal (Yoogane and more), and the many coffee shops we visited.  Seriously missing Seoul. ;-D

Another Hair Coloration Affair Black to #WonderLight Clear

Annyeong, chingu! ^_^

Sometime ago, I posted that I might get a new hair color, and I did just that. Though, I had it after my Seoul trip since I pretty much bundled up for the winter with varying hats to boot.

But I did get a haircut from a Korean salon, Kawisori (will post soon), and I ended up letting go of my ombré hair color. So after the trip, it's either root touch-up or something new. Since my highlights are still pretty, I decided to just go for a full hair color to match them. I went for Matrix WonderLight Clear.

Before: Natural Black Hair with WonderLight Mocha and Highlights
After: WonderLight Clear
Here's an outdoor shot
As always, I went to Freshaire in SM Megamall, thanks to my fave hair colorist, the ever supportive Ate Edna. She likes to indulge my every whim on varying hair color shades and style, love her. *Teehee

Chic & Sassy Tips: I get my hair color done quarterly. To prevent further damage, or to prepare it for another hair coloration,  I diligently make sure to shower my hair with tender, loving care. It's treatment hair mask every other day, and overflowing conditioner.

Yay! Me likey.  So far Matrix WonderLight Permanent Hair Color lines work for me. I might keep it for a while, or not. Might get red hair, or go blonder next? Will see. Cheers! ^_^

Fixing a Broken Heart #RetailTherapy

Hello, hello! ^_^

Teehee! ^_^ Found this in a shop in Wisconsin from last time.

Shopping: The fine art of acquiring things you don't need with money you don't have.
It seems I'm subscribing to the definition, so let the mergers and acquisitions begin...

First time in a while to have no big plans for the Holy Week, and yes, yes, staycations are made of iBooks and Korean dramas, so I got an iPad Air 2 with 128 GB.

Retina Display, bigger memories for downloading Korean Dramas, iPad Air2 is love!!!
I went back to work on Easter Monday with no extended vacation, so I said goodbye to manic Monday by strutting a pair of Nine West a.k.a. my Jandi Shoes. I love Nine West. It's next to FitFlop (I stopped counting after my 11th pair) in terms of the number of pairs I hoard, and you can never have enough. It's my go-to shoe brand for pretty and functional.

More Nine West shoes for me...yay! Good shoes take you to good places, let's get more! #OOTD post soon.
Oh well, I'm feeling a bit flighty (aisshh, must be all those Japan, sakura, and USA travel posts flooding my timeline... boo FB!) A dose of retail therapy did alleviate it somehow, methinks.  Boo me, but now I'm broke, please fix me! Cheers! ;-D
