It was a full house at Chili's Northeast Greenhills, with lifestyle bloggers, moms and dads with their adorable kiddos, in attendance. The food was great as always, I love Chili's. To add more to the fanfare, Fabio Ide, and the Semerad Twins, Anthony and David graced the event charming everyone with their handsomest smiles and friendliness, playing the parlor games, and indulging photo opportunities with us, myself included. Party DIY: Christening Favors, Balloons, and Cake

Cheers to more party planning DIY feats! Although, I thought that my party planning stints will take back stage this year, but no-t! My recent was my son's 7th birthday, and so far, we agreed that we won't have elaborate parties for him anymore, he's now swayed to do other stuff like perhaps a trip (my wish!) or just an intimate gathering with his friends and ours. Until recently, I thought that I wouldn't plan a party anytime soon, but fret not, we have a new baby in our family, my nephew baby Yvo and another nephew coming soon. And you ought to know that I'm a stage auntie, so bring on the parties! ^_^ His Christening day was earlier than originally planned because we had families moving out of the country soon, so it was quickly decided to hold it last time. I volunteered to do this and that! I did it a day before, and during the day itself! I'm feeling mighty happy! ^_^

So adorable! I got his Christening Outfit at SM Store in Megamall. Having attended SM Kids' Fashion Week show from last time, I know that the babies line at SM Kids' Fashion are equally adorable, and practically priced too. ^_^
For the favors to the Godparents and guests.  In the favor pack was a Rosary, a Holy Name of Jesus Prayer Card, and The Cross Prayer. I bought all at The St. Paul Store in SM Megamall. The personalized Prayer Card prayer goes...
"May angels keep you night and day.
And Mary guide you on your way.
May Jesus ever fill your heart
With peace He only can impart
All this and more,
I ask for you,
Blessings to last your whole life through. "
I printed the personalized Prayer card and the sticker. Thanks to my ever reliable HP Printer. Sticker paper and card stock for the prayer card. I recommend getting a matte sticker paper than glossy to avoid smudging. I used the picmonkey.com for the photo layout and designing.
Balloon Centerpieces. Ahhh...would have wanted to use Qualatex, but no time to buy.
Goldilocks Chocolate Marble Cake 16 x 24.
Thanks to Nido and Smart Parenting, I have Goldilocks Gift Certificates to use and to gift to my heart's delight.  I went to SM Megamall Goldilocks branch the day before (Friday), since we're coming from Manila, and the event was in Pampanga, I thought I can order in Manila and pick up in Pampanga. It seemed pretty complicated, so I opted otherwise. Although they were very helpful. Plus to get a Baptism Cake with themed decors etc, it needed at least 3 days lead time to order it. So the better option was just to get the standard cake in Pampanga, hoping for the biggest size to be available. I just bought a Decorate Your Cake Baby Boy Christening Topper. I requested for more blue floral icing decors at minimal additional cost.

Tadaa! ^_^ ...with the DYC Goldilocks Baptism Topper. It's a butter icing cake, so we had to keep it in a cool A/C place prior to the event.
Although, we had a major mishap with the caterer! I don't want to talk about it! But overall, Yvo is a happy Christian boy now! Welcome to the Christian World Baby Yvo! ^_^  ...Will soon be planning your first birthday party! Haha! Cheers!  ^_^

Review: Etude House Eraser Show Mascara Cleaner

Annyeonghaseyo! ^_^ Here's a belated review post of my go-to mascara remover. It's so good to be able to use my ever reliable waterproof mascara at less the hassle of removing it. Great love goes out to Etude House Eraser Show Mascara Cleaner. I bought this from my short but oh so sweet shopping trip in Seoul.

Etude House Eraser Show Mascara Cleaner features Easy Cleansing Off
Etude House Eraser Show Mascara Cleaner Product Description: Equipped with a unique comb applicator, this mascara remover applies on every lash to thoroughly cleanse even waterproof formula without rubbing. Infused with Argan Kernel Oil and Jojoba Seed Oil, it also conditions lashes while effectively removing makeup.
Etude House Mascara Cleaner Applicator Comb. Effortless application...yay! #Love ^_^
Directions: 1. Apply remover by thoroughly combing through lashes, moving roots to end.
2. Leave on for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Wipe off gently with a cotton pad, starting from the roots. Tip:  Use another cotton pad at the bottom as cushion to minimize skin contact, and to maximize cleansing.
4. Clean the comb with a tissue/cotton pad after each use.
Chic & Sassy Tips!!! Fully clean one eye first. Do not simultaneously apply on both lashes to avoid getting the formula to your eyes so no clouding and stinging.

FOTD with Majolica Majorca Lash King in Black Mascara (previous post was for the brown Lash King). Bottom Right photo:  After Etude House Eraser Show Mascara Cleaner application.
Overall, just consider my tips, and I only have ravings for this! And yes, I will repurchase as soon as I empty it (unless better recommendations are there). This sells for Php 448 at Etude House local stores. But I do remember getting this a bit lesser than that in Seoul. Anyhow, it's absolutely pretty and functional buy! Cheers! ^_^

Haul: Shu Uemura at Taste Central and Sleepcare

Lovely Saturday! My precious MacBook really died on me this time around! I have yet to bring it to the service center in Greenhills. Anyhow, it meant that some of my blog post pictures are inaccessible. Too bad, I've been meaning to do a shopping post + review post of Shu Uemura's Mini Gloss Unlimited Lip Duo sets I bought from Taste Central, those and more pending blog posts will have to follow asap. Photo of swatches and FOTDs were done, but will have to redo them. Haay! But still, you ought to know can't wait to rave about my recent dose of retail therapy from online shopping...yay! Taste Central does the trick quite beautifully!
Love at first e-shop! Bought two sets of Shu Uemura Mini Gloss Unlimited Lip Duo Set in Red 20C (Red) + AT 50C (Orange) and AT 60C (Bright Pink) and PK 70C (Pink) at Php 490 per set of two mini lip glosses.
Taste Central is an affiliate of Deal Grocer. Deal Grocer is one of my ever reliable online shopping site...MUD makeup class and Regent Spa vouchers were from the site. And yes, there's so much more to see, and to buy. Easy peasy retail therapy, anyone? ^_^

Sleepcare Haul: Lamaze Belly Creams, Baby Lotion, Fragrance Diffuser Anti Stress and Peace scents and more.  #SaleTime
Speaking of retail therapy...once a week is never enough! Haha.^_^  So happy Friday to me, I caved in to Sleepcare's Sale Time.

Lamaze Belly Cream and Baby Lotion
Lamaze Belly Cream Stretch Mark Care. Hmmm...wonder if it's not too late for me. Anyhow, the more lotions the merrier!
Quack! Quack! My vanity table could use more cuteness! My Oakley Prescription Glasses seating nicely on it!

Actually, it was my very preggy sister who went in there a day before. I love the Lamaze Belly Cream she got, it's lightly scented plus super moisturizing. While the Lamaze Baby Lotion although barely scented, feels lightweight while leaving skin satiny soft. So yes, I want my own! Cheers! ^_^

Sleepcare is located at the 3rd Level of Shangri-la Plaza Mall.

King Chef of Lucky Chinatown Celebrates First Year Anniversary

It's a pleasure to be part of the momentous celebration of King Chef Seafood Restaurant of Lucky Chinatown located in the heart of Manila Chinatown, Binondo. Last June 8, King Chef celebrated its 1st Year Anniversary. Much like a first birthday Chinese tradition, it was commemorated with an auspicious fanfare with its signature sumptuous food offering fit for a royalty.

Happy First Year Anniversary King Chef!
Everybody's Welcome Here. King Chef Seafood Restaurant prides itself with heartwarming gastronomic feasting, just the perfect place for celebrations. It speaks of an ambiance that is more inviting than intimidating; more elegant than snobbish; spacious yet warm.
Elegant Table Setting
Let's feast! And the royal dining experience begins...

Row 1, L-R: Assorted Cold Cuts Combination, Dumplings on Seafood Spinach Soup, Deep Fried Suahe with Salted Egg. Row 2, L-R: Stir Fried Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Spareribs with Eight Spices, Stuffed Eggplant in Japanese Sauce. Row 3, L-R: Fried King Fish in Mango Sauce, Typhoon Shelter Crabs, Birthday Noodles
The culinary feasting started with the parade of the waiters. It's such a delight to feel the impeccable customer service of King Chef. It's also a heartwarming treat to hear, and then to actually experience firsthand from the people of King Chef of just how much TLC (Tender Loving Care ^_^) that each and every one of them put in their roles (from the owners, to the chef, down to the waiters). The commitment to delight their customers is commendable. As for this event, personally, it was one of the most lavish and flavorful Chinese sit down meal we had. My personal favorites are the Deep Fried Suahe with Salted Egg, the Fried Spareribs with Eight Spices, and the Typhoon Shelter Crabs.  As expected, a Chinese feasting starts with a dish served first, then one dish to another served in intervals. Pacing is a key. ;-D So it was quite a nice way to bond. In between dishes, guests were entertained with games, intermission numbers, and celebratory speeches.

The classic Almond Jelly repackaged! Hello Fishy Fishy! ^_^  Entertaining and Delightfully Tasty. #MustTryDessert
Mango Balls. Equally sweet and delicious, also must try dessert at King Chef.
With Marites Apiado-Ang of King Chef. Thank you! ^_^
Indeed, the culinary adventure at King Chef is like no other. It offers a lasting appreciation of Cantonese Cuisine. I can't wait to bring the whole family to King Chef.  Xièxiè! ^_^

Thank you King Chef and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls! I'm feeling lucky the whole day through! ^_^

KING CHEF SEAFOOD RESTAURANT is located at the 2F of Lucky Chinatown Mall, Binondo, Manila City.

KING CHEF FINE DINING / KING CHEF DIMSUM KITCHEN is located in Banawe St, Quezon City

Review: Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover for Longchamp

Here's a belated review for Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover. I bought these at Target from our last US trip.

I bought a 3-Pack Tide To Go Stain Pens. I keep one at home, and one with me all the time. #BecauseIamClumsy ^_^ I gifted one to a friend.
Product Description: Save the moment with Tide to Go, the instant stain remover that helps eliminate some of your toughest fresh food and drink stains. Best of all, Tide to Go travels easily to stop stains on the spot.
I stained my bag with the ink from a stamp pad. Because it's left opened! And yes, I tend to be clumsy! #Sadness
How it works
1. Remove excess residue from the stain.
2. Press the tip onto the stain several times to release some stain remover solution onto the stain.
3. Rub tip gently across the stain to remove it. When necessary, add more liquid and continue rubbing gently.
4. Important: If treated area will be exposed to direct sunlight, wipe with a damp cloth or napkin to remove excess solution left on fabric. For tough stains, place a paper towel under the stain while treating or wipe excess liquid or residue away with a damp paper towel, or reapply as necessary.
Before (already tried removing some at the office, that's what's left when I got home). After. Photo taken with flash.
I used the Tide to Go on quite several occasions already both my and my son's mishaps. Most recent was when my hair dye accidentally went to the white part our our black and white carpet. It's red hair dye,  and still Tide delivered. But to be sure that it will not discolor, I tested it on a small bottom portion of my Red Longchamp Planètes. It worked fine. So I braved using it all over. #Success

Thank goodness for Tide! #Nice ^_^
Chic and Sassy Tips: Please take note on Important Reminder No. 4 mentioned above, to avoid or to minimize uneven water marks, I used a damp cloth to remove excess solutions. Also, I noticed that to avoid watermarks when cleaning the Longchamp, you have to make sure it dries evenly. I don't recommend hair dryer since it tends to concentrate drying by portion. So it's either electric fan dry it, or leave it at an air conditioned area (mine was at my car on my first attempt).

So yes, it truly works...this small wonder does deliver big feats! It saved my ever beloved Red Bag! ^_^ Cheers!

Back to School Mates SY 2013-2014

Happy Back to School! Summer vacation is officially over! (Oh my, we can use an extension! ^_^)  This time around, we're finally getting the hang of it...minimal cramming, and so far, no return trips to the bookstore... yet! Yay! Anyhow, because of the K-12 curriculum, I'm now a happy and a proud mom to a Grade 3 son. (He was Grade 1 last year.) Also, contrary to other parents, hubby still prefers the e-books via the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Although, I still bought a physical Math book, and plan to buy more eventually.

Thank goodness for these color coded notebooks. I appreciate that the school listened to the parents' rants request. Last school year, I had to wrap them individually with  Art papers.
Avon Kids Avengers Trolley Bag gifted by my Mother in law. Thank you!
A matching insulated Lunch bag.
For the past school years, it's all Disney Cars. It's nice to go for variety.

Alternately, he's ready to go for the ever reliable classic JanSport black backpack for his small-bag-only-days.
Thermos Lunch Kit Insulated Food Jar. I bought this last school year. Although, the closure lock broke (So sad!), and  I'm still waiting for a replacement cover, which reminds me I need to do a follow up call. But the jars can be used together with other insulated lunch boxes.
Avon Kids 3 in 1 Boys Sando (Sleeveless Undershirt) Pack. These are nice. Super Soft. Also gifts.  We love you Nans (short for Nanay...our endearment to my mother in law ;-D)!
And the shoes...Florsheim Kids.
For his school pants, we prefer a cotton khaki pants a la Dockers material, last year I bought them in the school bookstore. This year, I was able to get cheaper alternatives  from the SM Bazaar. But the polo shirts, were still from the school bookstore. For the name tags and the level badges, I had them machine stitched.

Oh how he's grown! I didn't have to bring him to his classroom anymore. I've been told that most boys their level go by themselves already! Okay! ;-D

Albeit raining and flooding, it's a brand new school year, still looking forward to having one great year! Cheers! ^_^

About Me

My photo

Wifey to JB and Mommy to Chasey :) It's said that one's eyes are windows to one's soul. True! My eyes twinkle when I'm happy, they light up with my smile. I’m no frills! I'm easy to read (except during Poker). I easily get teary eyed on practically both happy and sad things. I'm overly emotional! UP,Toy Story 3, and Glee made me cry with delight. My hubby is my source of strength. He balances that side of my personality. He made me a more self-reliant person.I love being a mom. But be it known that I tend to be OC, paranoid, and definitely see my self as a stage mom.I can't help but throw him parties every year.I love to read. If there is a lifetime membership to Book Lover's Club, I've probably signed in as early as Grade 1. I'm blessed to have a special relationship with God. He is my confidante. I practically talked to him anywhere and anytime about anything. I'm a Kapampangan and supposedly known for having culinary skills. This still needs to be found perfected, but for sure, I can say I'm a gourmand!I love to eat and it shows!Oh well!Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder and Happiness is only a state of mind. From today onwards, I intend to live in a Happy Mode!Cheers!
