Plants vs. Zombies Plush Toys

Plants vs. Zombies Sunflower Plush Toy :-D
Last weekend while we were hoping to watch Cars 2 only to find out, much to our disappointment that it will be shown on a later date of August 24, Chase saw these delightful Plants vs. Zombies Plush Toys as Major Prizes on one of the Time Zone Game Machine, which is located near the Marquee Mall Cinema. We ended up watching Green Lantern in 3D instead, but knowing him he's just really eager to get a chance to play at Time Zone and hopefully win one of these plushies. ;-D The Plants vs. Zombies Plush Toys are showcased on the one that you're suppose to stack up 3 blocks until you reached the top to win the major prize. I tried playing that before but I can only go as high as the minor prize. ;-D Since I love playing the game myself, I also would love to win them for him.

Etude House Petit Darling Nails ✌

I love to glam up once in a while! And there's nothing like a handy array of nail polish selections to complete a great look. I feel! ;-D So I hoard, and I hope that I get to wear the shade at least three times before it dries up. Or I can always give it to our friendly neighborhood manicurista, Ate Fe, so she can add it to her selections, like I did very recently. ;-D Although, the home service nail care I avail includes the nail polish of choice from her classic color selections, the Etude House Nail Care lines are just so tempting to collect. I'm in need of refill. ✌

My Etude House Petit Darling Nails Loot at Php 98 @ except for the Clear...PP904, Clear, OR205 Tangerine Sherbet, WH701 HD ;-D

Chicharon, Suka, Kamatis, at Bagoong ♨

My Dinner: Chicharon, Suka, Kamatis, and Bagoong! ;-D
Our helper is taking an extended 3-days off, so it means, when the cat is away, the mouse will play. haha! ;-) I'm kidding, I'm not that helpless. I'm trying to eat before 6pm, since my mom already offered to make my son's dinner (as always), I had to find something quick to eat. The quick fix... Certified Filipino Dinner!

The Skin Shop BB Cream Extravaganza

The Reign of the Natural Korean Beauty... Meet the JQT of The Skin Shop. :-D
K-Dramas, K-Pop, and BB Cream mark the era of the Hallyu Wave. It's about the love and fascination of everything about the Korean Culture. It is about the feats of the young, the brave, the bold, and the beautiful Koreans. This paves the way of life imitating art because suddenly, we all want to eat, to look, and to love the Korean way!

Excited for Disney Cars 2

My son is really looking forward on the return of Lightning McQueen so much that he was insisting that we watch the June 24 opening. Understandably, due to the bad weather, and since his dad was still out of town, we promised him that we'll see it the next day. He was feeling the moment that he decided to gear up for it with his McQueen top, jacket, and necklace too. He even wanted to wear his McQueen Crocs but we decided otherwise since it's still rainy that time. And then only to find out that Disney Cars 2 will not be shown here in the Philippines until sometime August 24. Oh my, it is that late!!!

Disney Cars 2 Philippine Showing is sometime August 24, 2011.
Sadly, I didn't check earlier because I thought that it's like everything else on same date screening especially that Disney Cars 2 is a much awaited sequel.  I even saw some FB status of my mommy friends about it. Oh well, it looks like they're not from the Philippines. Sorry Chase! To console him, we ended up watching Green Lantern in 3D, and buying him a Disney Cars 2 toy instead. Okay, my learning...Assumption is the mother of all screw-ups!!!

Birthday Party with a Cause

Yesterday we attended a birthday party at Hotel Vida. How sweet that one of the birthday girl's wish is to contribute to the advocacy of increasing awareness on the Universal Kindergarten program. This is a campaign supported by DepEd, JCI, and other organizations.

Her birthday wish...
"Children everywhere will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling."

My son (Chase) in blue shirt joins the birthday girl's family in their successful toy collection drive. ;-D

I posted a while back how I wanted to try out Curves Circuit with Zumba. Sadly, I had to forfeit that great opportunity to get my groove back because I can't commit to have a Manila trip every week. Oh well! But thanks to Curves, get ready to shimmy and to sculpt because instead I'll be giving out to 2 (two) lucky Metro Manila readers a Month's worth of Fitness Sessions at Curves Bonifacio Global City, Gift Certificate worth Php 2500.

For 30 minutes, 3x a week, Curves signature fitness program offers a complete cardio and strength training workout that can burn up to 500 calories and work every major muscle group.

It's a go at GO Hotels! ✌

It's a go at GO Hotels! ;-D
Last week, we were able to enjoy another "fancy living" adventure (that's how my son loves to call staying at hotels...haha!;-P). This time, we stayed at Go Hotels. The stay was more of an official trip. We wanted to explore the possibility of my hubby having to stay at Go Hotels 3x a week, instead of renting out a condo unit in Manila since comes July, he will be officially based in Manila. I booked the room two weeks in advance via online booking, so we got the mid-price of around Php 1300++ per night. The rates are highly volatile, it's best to plan ahead. The room rates can go as high as Php 1800 to a promo rate of Php 388++ per night. But that's really booking ahead of time. We don't really know if we're up for it.

❤ Loving my new Bob Cut! ✄

Sayonara to my Long Hairstyle for the past years! ;-D
Yes! I did it! After delaying the inevitable, I finally braved wearing a shorter hairstyle after 7 years of having it long. ;-D The best part is I got the courage to do so after watching Tangled. Yup, that part when Flynn cuts Rapunzel's hair. I love it! Nice inspiration! ✌

☾ Lunar Eclipse June 16, 2011 ☽

Lunar Eclipse June 16, 2011
We made it! ;-D After several attempts, while sorting out our creative differences between me and my hubby, we got some reasonable shots. Happily, we were able to capture and to witness this (finally, we decided to wake up for it ;-p) natural phenomenon. Indeed a great feat! Yay! ;-D

Wordless Wednesday: I Survived Mt. Pinatubo! ✌

Today is a local holiday in Angeles City. It's that time of the year to offer prayers to those who perished in one of the major volcanic eruption of the century. Also, it marks the celebration of the city and the people's triumph over the June 15, 1991 cataclysmic eruption of Mt. Pinatubo 20 years after.

Etude House Hair Care Finds ❥

Every morning, at least until before I hit the showers, I'm having a bad hair day! My over a year old, left over highlights, after undergoing a semi-rebonding and coloring last summer are failing me. My hair ends are having major frizzy moments every morning. Hands down, my hair care type is dry and damaged. Not good! Although, my hair after a bath and fan drying, by some kind of a miracle, can still look normal, sleek, straight, and deceivingly healthy. I'm not ready to snip my hair off, so I'm doing all I can to save a trip to the salon.

BLOWBAG Everyday! ✌

Since school is officially back, friendly reminder to me, "BLOWBAG" our trip before heading off to school!!!  It's checking our car Breaks, Lights, Oil, Water, Battery, Air, Gasoline. ☺

It's Back to School! ;-D

My Son, Chase, a Happy Prep Student at Preschoolville! ;-D
It's Chase first day of school today! ;-D In a happy turn of events, he's the one rushing me up. I had to drag myself out of bed because I pulled another all nighter in watching for the nth time my Korean Dramas (Save the Last Dance ). We made it just in time! ;-D

I Dream of TOMS! ✌

It's been a while since I had a booster dose of my retail therapy, and for my next one, I'm compelled to be even charitable, I just have to do my share of "giving a pair of new shoes to a child in need". I'm totally dreaming of TOMS. ;-D

I ❤ this TOMS! ;-D Black Crochet Women's Classic Php 2900++
Thankfully Shoe Salon in Marquee Mall is now selling TOMS. I already tried them. The shoe fits just perfectly. ;-D I dream to have them real soon.✌

Cutting Edge 4: Fire & Ice ❥

Francia Risa and Brendan Fehr in Cutting Edge 4, I ❤! ;-D
Finally, we watched X-Men First Class. As expected, it's as great as the others. And James McAvoy is in it, so it should be really nice. But the greater happy ending to our movie date was seeing Brendan Fehr in it. I just had to do my usual research, so is it really Brendan Fehr that I saw in X-Men? Yes, it's him actually. And then I saw that his latest full acting credits was Cutting Edge Fire & Ice. Yay! ;-D Lucky for me, I get a break from watching reruns of Cutting Edge, and then I can have a booster dose of Roswell's Michael as well. ;-D

Disney Cars Back to School Mates ❥

Disney Cars Tin Lunch Box at SM Department Store Php 199. :-D
It's back to school next week for us as well. My son, Chase, will proudly be a Proficient Preschooler as a Prep Student at Preschoolville. ;-D Since everything is already school provided, we don't really have to get him any school supplies, let alone a school bag, which usually sets the mood for the back to school, so we had to make do with getting him a snack bag and a water bottle.☺

Jang Ga Nae Korean Restaurant ♨ (Updated)

Annyeong Haseyo! ✌ Oh well, I'm happy to be back after a brief hiatus on my writing. Of course, my post has to be something that I really love...Korean Food Trip. ;-D Our must dine destination when we're in Manila is our all time favorite Korean Restaurant, Minato in Ortigas Center. Oh my, happily, it became bigger, & better, and even changed its name to Jang Ga Nae. ✌

Diners are treated to more complimentary Korean Side Dishes! ;-D
I congratulated the ahjumma owner for the restaurant's obvious success, and asked her what's the change all about, she happily said that now Jang Ga Nae is a Korean term. I guess I have to ask her back what it really means because I can't find it online. Haha...anyone knows what it means? ;-D

Updated: A Korean Ahjussi told me that Jang Ga Nae is like a Family of Jang Restaurant something. ;-D

Jang Ga Nae Korean Restaurant former Minato :-D
As always, we ordered our all time favorite Korean dishes, Samgyeopsal and Galbijjim. We were treated with more side dishes than the usual, for their classic side dishes, please check my previous Minato post.... I ❤ the complimentary mixed greens in sweet vinaigrette asian dressing. Best of all, it's a dream come true again, kimchi pancake all I want. :-D

It's a Full House, Baby! ;-D Thankfully, the service is still fast!
New & Better Restaurant Ambiance at Jang Ga Nae. ;-D
Within minutes of our arrival, diners both Filipinos and Koreans filled the restaurant. The added exhausts,  serve both as decorative and functional fixtures. Happily, you don't come out as"smoky scented" after dining. :-D

Updated: June 2012

Annyeong! We actually now live within walking distance to Jang Ga Nae, how nice! ;-D Anyhow, we eat here once every two weeks, at the minimum. Here are some more photos. ;-D
Kimchi Pancake as complementary side dish.
Korean Food Feast! ;-D We brought the whole family and our guests, about 20 of us, but not without prior reservation.
Updated: April 2013
We still adore this place to bits. I have a new favorite dish to order...Ojinguh Bokum or Spicy Squid for Php 300/serving. #NomNomNom

Here are some snapshots of a portion of the menu.

Top May 2011 Entrecard Droppers ❥

Oh my! It's been a while since I updated my posts, I've been sadly preoccupied with other things (like allergies, hives, UTI, muscle pains, my son's cough and colds...tsk,tsk...it seems that my age and my sedentary lifestyle is catching up on me?! It's high time to shape up! Please! ;-P) Anyway, I want to thank everyone for dropping the EC ❤! Forgive my apparent casual and relaxed dropper status for the recent week, besides my personal angst, my internet service provider is failing me big time!!! We are now exploring to change an ISP. I will make it up to you, promise! I'm also not doing my own ads for the meantime, because I'm saving my EC Credits for my coming 1st Blogversary. It seemed that there is actually a Give button on the side of every site profiles, for minimal EC Credits giving. Please let me know if anyone tried sending EC Credits via that button. Thanks. ;-D

To my dear droppers, I also have a dedicated blog list on my sidebar for your. Thanks again! ;-D See you at the Drop Zones! :D Joining Entrecard is by far one of the best move in building my readers' reach. It's simple, fun, and rewarding way to do blog hops. :-D

About Me

My Photo

Wifey to JB and Mommy to Chasey :) It's said that one's eyes are windows to one's soul. True! My eyes twinkle when I'm happy, they light up with my smile. I’m no frills! I'm easy to read (except during Poker). I easily get teary eyed on practically both happy and sad things. I'm overly emotional! UP,Toy Story 3, and Glee made me cry with delight. My hubby is my source of strength. He balances that side of my personality. He made me a more self-reliant person.I love being a mom. But be it known that I tend to be OC, paranoid, and definitely see my self as a stage mom.I can't help but throw him parties every year.I love to read. If there is a lifetime membership to Book Lover's Club, I've probably signed in as early as Grade 1. I'm blessed to have a special relationship with God. He is my confidante. I practically talked to him anywhere and anytime about anything. I'm a Kapampangan and supposedly known for having culinary skills. This still needs to be found perfected, but for sure, I can say I'm a gourmand!I love to eat and it shows!Oh well!Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder and Happiness is only a state of mind. From today onwards, I intend to live in a Happy Mode!Cheers!
