Review: SkinFood Rose Essence Lip Balm No1

Hi! Excuse my sudden disappearing act. This untimely hiatus was brought about by just trivial things until it escalated to much more, which I mentioned on my page, and something more. I'm thankful though for your endless cheering and supporting. I wish I have more sets of freebies to give out, such that instead of one C.S.M., I can do more. ;-D Anyhow, I just wanted to quickly get back in action. I'll do another review of some of the items on my recent Korean Cosmetics haul.

SkinFood Rose Essence Lip Balm No. 1 Sells for 4,900+KRW in Seoul
Product Description: An essence lip balm with rose essential oil that moisturizes and nourishes your lips at the same time while protecting from environmental aggressors. The subtle fragrance of rose attunes your senses.
Rose Essence Lip Balm No. 1 is a treatment balm with reinforced benefits to moisturize and to nourish dry , flaky lips. Other varian available comes in No2, which is a tinted balm, for natural-looking rosy lips.
It's not really of malnourished lips that I opted for the No1 variant. It's more of being on a preventive mode. More so, it's just that I'm addicted to lip balms/gloss (and to SkinFood too). :-D So naturally, it's compelling to get a lip balm from SkinFood. This one looks very promising. ;-D And happily, it doesn't disappoint.

Swatch.
...applied over Tony Moly Lip and Cheek tint.
Overall, I really love the subtle rose scent. It's much like the Rose Essence Blusher that I also got. I have to give it to them... yay! for its "attuning your senses" claim. It's scented just so rosy and ladylike, without the matronly overwhelming effect. ;-D I love it for its superb emollient properties, leaving just the right dewy feel and look, minus stickiness, which Majolica Majorca's Honey Pump Gloss tops the list. It's not waxy too, so it can also works with NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, without compromising the whole matte effect of the lippies, when applied under/before. My only drawback is I'm not that keen on dipping my fingers. Either it's that, or I'm now more attuned to applying it ala EOS' way. ;-D Will I repurchase? I have enough lip balms to last me yearsss. I just really love to collect and to try out different variants, flavors, features, etc., but I'll happily finish it.
