Fun with Things that Go at Preschoolville

On your mark, get set, go!!! As always, Chase had a great time with their month-end culminating activity for their Transportation Theme at Preschoolville. More than ever, it's something close to his ❤ since he has a special tendre for cars! ☺

As for me... Yay! a field day on my "shutterbugness" ! ;-P

Transport Vehicles only in the Philippines: Jeepney, Real & Toy Calesa (Horse-Driven Carriage), and a vintage toy bike...Nice! :-)

So You Want to be an Agricultural Veterinarian - Guest Post

This guest feature was written by Jenny Lewiston.

Do you love All Creatures Great and Small? Is it your dream to heal adorable cows, all of whom have huge, cartoon-like brown eyes? Then you might be considering a career as an agricultural veterinarian. But before you start buying novelty-sized “Get Well Soon” cards, or order any cow-print stethoscopes, there are a few questions to ask yourself concerning your chosen profession.
  • Do You Love School?

Though a love of animals will get you far in the world of veterinary medicine, you still need to attend college—for about eight years. This is not counting internships and specialization training after graduation. Even after passing the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam, you still need to constantly educate yourself to stay current with the latest veterinary breakthroughs. If you want to work with animals, but not invest as much time into your degree, think about a career as a veterinarian technician.
  • Are You Strong Enough?

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Right? Well, if a horse is lying down in the mud, too sick to stand, then you can't actually lead that horse anywhere. As an agricultural veterinarian, it is your job to help those poor, yet gigantic, souls who cannot help themselves. This takes great strength, both emotional, and physical, and the ability to stay calm during life-threatening situations. Though hamsters and cows each have their own special and complicated physiology, you don't usually have to worry about a hamster kicking you in the head while you take his temperature.

Top Ten Superheroines To Save Our Televisions - Guest Post

This post was written by Jamie Jones who also writes about online accounting classes for

Superman, Batman, Wolverine...bla bla bla. It's about time that we heard it for the girls who keep the Earth spinning properly on its axis, in the face of campy-cruel villains and their danger. Television has provided a bountiful array of badass lady leaders and heroes. But where's the restrospective on their heroic and female-positive ways that they deserve? We've noticed this dearth and seek to amend it with this article, chronicling our ten superheroines who make a rescue feel like a rock concert. Maybe they're born with it, maybe it's mayday-mania. But something about these power women makes us swoon.

Wonder Woman
1. Wonder Woman - Originally based on the prowess and indomitability of the Amazons, Wonder Woman has gone on to take up a position in our society as the emblem of feminism that kicks chauvinistic butt, and takes names. She's been around since the 1940s, but vaulted to fame through the 1970s series starring Lynda Carter. Warner Bros. has announced plans to revamp the series for a 2010s audience.

Carnival Theme 1st Birthday Party

Yay! Over the weekend, we happily attended a Carnival Theme Party at the Valle Verde 6 Clubhouse. Hip hip hurray...Welcome to Nikki's Carnival! :-)

Carnival Them Birthday Cake complete with the Classic Merry Go Round, Tents and Clowns! Nice! :-)
It was sheer fun and excitement! There's so much happiness radiating to each and every guest, both kids and young at ❤! :-) We excitedly went around the several Carnival booths, while I was really trying my best to get as many pictures as possible and at the same time trying to get through the crowd while amassing lots of goodies!;-P I literally got my hands full! Paging Chase's Ate (Nanny)! ✌ Thank goodness that we run into my university classmate and friend, Atty. May Ann, she's such an angel! :-) Much to our delight...we even missed the eating part of the event, after an hr and 30 mins of playing around, my hubby already arrived to pick us up and we had to go home to Pampanga! ;-P

The party truly reminded me of the good ol' carnivals that I used to love going as a kid, vs. the modern theme parks and the mall-based amusement centers that my son is used to going now. The tent-style booths, the colorful balloons, and the old-fashioned classic games such as the ring toss, shooting games and the fortune telling booths added to the whole and true classic Carnival charm and feel! :-) Party Party! ☺

Chic & Sassy Complimentary Gift-Wrapping Services

Complimentary Gift-wrapping Services of Rustan's Department Store...Nice! :-)
I truly have a tendre for gift-giving. Honest! :-) I love giving out gifts as much as I love receiving them! :-) I'm actually trying to instill this to my son, Chase, as well...that as much as possible, to the best of our ability, we don't come empty handed when visiting friends or attending even the simplest gathering.

Illustrated Guide on Anti-Carjacking 101

I saw this on my hubby's emails, and I immediately wanted to share it, especially to us, mommy drivers. :-) It pays to be always on the safe side! This one is actually very informative, and in a way very appropriate and timely, given the recent mishaps on our country on several carjacking related crimes.

Clark to Subic Made Easy via SCTEX ✌

Happy *Edsa Friday to one and all! (*Edsa is a celebration of people power and triumph of democracy that we Filipinos commemorate every 25th of February.) :-)

Well, since today marks the beginning of the long weekends, at least for the students and the SAHM's (Stay at Home Moms :-) and the likes...why not head over to Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo for some dining, unwinding, and shopping!? :-) True to the claim of SCTEX (Subic Clark Tarlac Express Way), Subic from Clark is just actually a mere 30-minute drive (within speed limit ;-P that is).

Lush Greens along the SCTEX reminds me of my Euro Trip :-)
Feast your eyes for some fields of greens, and contemplate on how we can do some saving the earth ideas as we see some dry land patches, forest fires etc., and some major advancements on road constructions in the Philippines (finally we're catching up! in fairness, in between hills... Yay! Take that!:-) ...well, at least to ease the long distance drive :-)

Placing Nuffnang Ads in Blogspot Walk Through

I recently added another blog (My Hallyu Diaries✌)  in Nuffnang, the steps would actually be provided on how to put the codes to your blog site, with mine being Blogger, but I still actually had to search the net on how to put the codes just where specifically inside my html codes. This attempt was with little success though,  that I instead had to find where I placed my Nuffnang codes in this site.

So here's a walk through...
  • Copy the codes on Nuffnang
  • Go to blogger,  click the Design Tab
  • Choose Edit Html and tick the Expand Widget Option.

To place the Leaderboard, which is best to be on top of your header, and just under the navigation bar...

Look for the Body, by clicking CTRL or Command F and type Body, then paste the codes under it, as shown! :-)

Chic & Sassy Interior Designs

Last weekend we attended the house warming party of our friend. They got adjoining units of Duplex in Enclave Angeles for their use, and the other unit for rental. I just ❤ how they were able to make their home very elegant and classy (envy much :-D ✌). Of course, it's with the help of the interior designer of the developer, and it's expected to be a bit pricey, but the outcomes are simply picture perfect, like straight out of a Home magazine.

I ❤ my Mac! ✌

I'm actually starting a series of posts about my adventures with my MacBook Pro...we've been together for 5 months now, and going stronger and sweeter everyday! I truly am in ❤ with my Mac! :-D

They say, "once you Mac, you never go Back!"...sounds cheesy, but it's actually kinda true! ☺

My MacBook Pro with a Hard Case in Red! My hubby's anniversary gift to me!
At first, I was like wishing that there was a book for the dummy on how to transition from a Windows based PC to a Mac because everything was like hello!!! Thankfully, I can just search all the hows in the net, and voila! I'm all set! ☺

Sharing with you my initial birth pains with the transition...
  • So how do you enlarge the size of the window in Mac?

❤Celebrate Love in Your Family this Valentine's Day❤

Happy Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! :-)

My recent post to Smart Parenting talked about Celebrating the V-Day at home...but more importantly, it's really celebrating ❤ in your family! I would love to share this video I made via iLife, then uploaded via You Tube. It features my favorite song Celebrate Love in Your Family by Roland Bibeau (Beebo) and some of the captured family moments for year 2010. It is also a way to be thankful for the bountiful blessings we had! We live, we laugh and we love together! :-D

The lyrics of the song are also very powerful and very inspirational. Cheers to Celebrating Love in our family from today onwards! Saranghae! ❤❤❤

Yay! I upgraded my Picnik account to Premium! ✌

I'm absolutely in love with Picnik! I love how the ease in photo editing and stuff allowed me to explore my creativity. Although, I'm still half-hearted on my creative prowess. :-(...awww. Nonetheless, picnik allows me at least to work on my shortcoming as an artist. (haha :-D...because of blogging, I proudly consider myself as an artist! ✌ )

We went to the the last day of the much celebrated event and fanfare in Clarkfield Pampanga.

The photos will speak on how the amazing and awesome the event was! :-P

My way back to corporate life while on Sabbatical! ✌

Are my sabbatical and my SAHM days coming to an end?

Blogging over Coffee! I ❤!
Hmmm...I need some serious thinking, reflecting, and soul searching. Don't get me wrong! I love being a SAHM. The rewards of becoming a stay at home mom are endless. But I had a great career opportunity just within the area where we are currently residing now. It's along the line of my previous career experience of sales and customer development. If ever, I got to be a part of setting up a principal and then be a part of the team which will determine the best go-to market strategy for this specialty consumer product.

My Weekend Dose of Food & Retail Therapy

Lovingly sharing with you my recent indulgence...  :-)
